All mechanical changes are cool, love them. But how about our dps? Is same/more/less?
Also, anyone have new SKB weakaura? It’s impossible to track without wa and blizzard decided to not make any UI changes to help
Trying to switch to fire from frost, but my gear just have 30% crit anyway
I can only speak for the specs I have tested - Frost ST, Frost AoE and Fire AoE (with incorrect stats). The below were tested without TW or major CDs (was more to get a feel for rotation than #s)
Frost ST appears to have gone up a little bit. Nothing groundbreaking but definitely punchier and more involved.
Frost AoE feels like a big gain, especially in that 3-8 target region where we were lacking. Still dislike the CoC capstone, and still think Frost Bomb should be in there but it is what it is.
Fire AoE also feels like it’s gained a lot. Despite having incorrect stats, and forgetting to pop AI on, I wasn’t that far short of Frost on the 5-target dummies. The big difference is that the rotation is super simple. More or less just spam Flamestrike, weave in some fireblasts/DB, and keep PF debuff up.
I have raid tonight, and potentially some dungeons so will be keen to test it in a real environment and compare logs.
Kinda feels weird, that in ST build you have to pick living bomb talents
While in aoe you don’t cause it’s still weak
Is firefall really that good
Haven’t had much time to try it out, but it may be because Firefall is reliant on Fireball and Pyroblast so Meteor happens more often when doing ST. Don’t have numbers though.
It’s OK, but there also aren’t a lot of other ST options to be honest. I mean you could dump those 3 points into Controlled Destruction and either Master of Flame or Hyperthermia, but with my gear (yay 2% vers) it’s still a small dps loss which isn’t worth it considering Firefall is a passive.
This week might not be the best week to look at logs, given people are still likely learning the intricacies of the new rotations and all the shiny new buttons, but at first glace we’re in a better spot than before especially in M+
Way better as arcane. If you haven’t tried orb barrage build, I’d recommend it.
Nice that arcane got better, but as long as there’s this radiant spark+totm time sensitive combo i’ll probably just stick to other specs.
