How are Feral Druids in War Within beta so far?

Are they doing good?

Some of the changes look cool like swapping between bear form and cat form so quickly during combat.

You’re probably not going to get any good answers here. The venn diagram between General Discussion and “players that have played the beta enough to give an accurate rundown on the strengths of Feral Druid in TWW” is two circles.

I would recommend the Druid discord if you wanna see what actual Feral players think.

it really only serves the purpose of maybe being guardian and swapping to kittie form to get to the next fight quicker…good lord, some ofthese tanks stay in bear form the entire run…makes me want to gouge my own eyes out

That or with talents set up right…at least in DF…swapping back and forth in and out of cat form you can keep your speed up to a decent clip.

Maybe if youre running feral and you need your armor increased swapping to bear might be a thing ?

But personally Ive found that the off spec forums are generally so sub standard as far as damage that its not worth bothering with…ie if your Balance trying to do DPS in kitty form.
I mean, unless theyve changed something.

Honestly, Druid would be SOOO much cooler if it didnt have specs but you could just swap forms and get the benefit of that form as its max level ability.

as it has been, off spec forms just dont really do as well in combat for damage…or tanking…and arent really worth it.
Again, unless something has changed with TWW

And you would have so many complaints from players…

I took it for a spin on the target dummy.
Right now without serious buffing it’s not even worth shifting into bear for the proc. I imagine it will be readjusted but it wasn’t mechanically as interesting as I had hoped.

Feels like maybe it’s more for guardians than ferals.

Most of the hero talents are pretty passive across the board tbh.

You mean like back before they split up Feral Combat into Feral and Guardian, back when druid had only 3 specs? And shapeshifting cost a lot of mana?

yeah, we’d here the screaming from orbit, no doubt, lol.
Just personally, Ive not noticed any benefit from swapping to the off spec forms other than more speed from kitty form between fights.

Superman does good. Feral Druids do well.

People have to remember that while feral looks simple to play, it is much harder to master if you want great damage numbers. The difference between a noob feral and a master is vast… VAST!
