HOW are Devastation Evokers getting NOTHING in 10.0.7!?

Patch notes are not final until launch

Just echoing your despise for Dragonrage as a cd. I donā€™t mind it so much in aoe but in single target it feels awful. I would very much be down for a rework of DR.

Dragonrage aside, I am playing Devoker as my main dps spec. Playing Pally just as tank for keys and raid. Overall Devoker is currently good enough for my needs and i wouldnt say its horrible from a PvE perspective but it certainly has a lot of room for improvement.

Things i like are the current cdr focused talent build getting fire breath and eternity surge back quicker feels good. Deep breath is very satisfying to press on AoE packs. I like the utility options for offhealing/knockback/knockup/aoe soothe/aoe cc.

The spec does still feel like itā€™s missing something though and i donā€™t mean firestorm because good lawd i hate that button. Talents certainly have room for improvement as well both in terms of the nodes themselves and the pathing. I was hoping we would see some iteration in 10.0.7 but i guess weā€™re looking towards 10.1 now instead

We already have a working design that can function in both raids and M+ in a competent manner, Ret does not.

Yes we need work done on us, But thereā€™s a reason why ret is being done first and thatā€™s because Ret needs a rework from the ground up in itā€™s entirety which is what they are doing and why they are getting pages and pages of changes.

ret paladins, our only real paladin equivalent out performs us in M+ Raid and PVPā€¦what are you talking aboutā€¦

rank 99 in performance acording to wow logs in raids,

63 points on us in M+ performanceā€¦pvpā€¦iā€™m not even going there

my issues isnā€™t with ret paladins re work, its with our complete apparent lack of attentionā€¦for our dps spec

Theyā€™ve been getting 100% the exact same complaints since Beta.

I guess they thought people would change their minds with more exposure.

which is funny because even back on the beta forums i said i was expecting blizzard to change their minds and listen to all this feedback after it went life and all that exposure was people who didnt have the beta saying the same thing people were saying on the beta. it just goes to show blizzard has to double down on bad decisions before they finally listen to feedback

Before they deleted the evoker feedback forum there was 4000 comments, not ONE thing was changed about devastation. They didnt listen to any of the feedback or even acknowledge it.

Absolutely, I believe the Dev really enjoys what they have made and currently they dont want to taint it with outside influence, but seriously, when this many people are feeding back consistent pain points the class has just to be ignored, maybe they arenā€™t the ā€˜featuresā€™ the Dev thought they were.

Iā€™m in a creative marketing field, so I have the luxury of receiving a lot of dumb client feedback at my job, and I think Blizzard is right on the nose when they say that players are generally great at identifying problems, but generally bad at providing solutions.

Iā€™m even sympathetic to the fact that this class is a bit experimental, which means that thereā€™s going to be a mixed reception just because itā€™s different.

But itā€™s more than just subjective feedback. People arenā€™t playing the class, and that says something.

mmm i donā€™t agree with that.

Thereā€™s certainly a lot of bad solutions but thereā€™s also good solutions that are just ignored.

Good example of this is with Deep Breath/Dream Breath. The problem is pathing being poopoo and no one likes the dead zone and wind-up. Suggestion was to take the Dream Projection pvp talent flight mechanic and apply it to Deep Breath and Dream Breath - pathing then becomes that of a player gliding and much easy coding.

Dream Projection becoming just a mimic of yourself, like time of need / Earth Storm and Fire.

ā€œDifferentā€ also usually means early (launch-2months) success followed by short-term (6m-2ys) failure (weā€™re here now). Long term success will take changes, but the problem is this is Blizzard and they take years to get it right - look at Diablo 3. Honestly, if the company i worked for had quality issues like Blizzard, we wouldnā€™t be in business anymore. The fact they let things go on for MONTHS if not YEARS itā€™s the poorest quality product on the planet.

Imagine your Telsa not charging and Telsa ā€œnotā€ telling you that a fix will be ready in a year. Then when you get the fix, it was just an adapter that breaks. The actual issue is the design of the wiring harness connected to the charging port. This is how Blizzard fixes things.

Thatā€™s why I said generally. Some feedback is solid gold, but other feedback is outrageously terrible (all my opinion, of course).

There was plenty of good feedback in the Beta Evoker thread, but only a single round of major class changes went through in the last ~5 months. Most of those changes had been proposed in the forums as possible fixes.

But that doesnā€™t change the fact that 90% of the ideas in that thread were terrible, and they disregarded most of the feedback even in a thread dedicated to feedback.

You have to understand they have to find a way to make us stronger WHILE ALSO MAKING US HAVE TO PLAY THE GAME LONGER.
Thatā€™s where they are stuck but REST ASSURED when they do youā€™ll have to grind out a whole entire set of gear to make use of the changes.
