Well, I made it to 1900 in Solo as Devastation. Wasn’t easy, but it’s not impossible.
oh Dev can easily hit 2.4+ im doing the soloq r1 title push as dev i find it more fun and frankly i dont play aug well so its no brainer for me to just play dev I got to 2.6 in 3s with it so surely i can push soloq with it
Do you use the single target raid build?
Depends on the soloq lobby I’m in and 3s depends on the other dps I run with
If im playing with a melee I mainly play 1 min deep breath build if I play with casters or a class that stuns alot I play 2min pmuch raid ST build
They are nerfing our Mastery again. They’re buffing our Magic Resistance talents to 4/8%.
On PTR, 6,518 Mastery was about 67%. That’s with crafted Ring/Neck/Engi Helm/Bracers. Couldn’t craft more mail armor, so missed Mastery on Shoulders/Hands/Belt. Wasn’t using tier because it’s only amped in the Brawl.
However, they have buffed our damage by like 8% across the board. And they just buffed Disintegrate again. And I believe they made a Mastery floor so we get some benefit on targets beneath 30% HP or something.
Kinda feels like with the right amps we might do unhealable Disintegrate damage if not locked down, but the burst is falling off for us cheeselord Mastery stackers :l
Non-crit Firebreaths feel like they hit around 200k because everyone now has giga-Versatility. Eternity Surge tooltip is lower than Disintegrate, but is regularly hitting harder than Tipped Fire Breath. Everyone has like a million HP in BGs, so I don’t know if our amp from Tier is even gonna enable the 2 shots.
Blizzard is too afraid to buff anything other than Disintegrate because of Dragonrage, and I think that shows there’s a fundamental design issue. Dragonrage should be more frequent, less strong.
They just recently did another buff, let me see if I can find the patch notes for it real fast.

iirc they are reworking our master on top of a top end nerf by giving it a execute effect where it works then mid hp lvls it doesn’t then like 25% it kicks in again which both pve and pvp I see it as an insane thing on top of the fact now we don’t have to stack as much mastery and ca go more haste giving us more surges and fire breaths which just is huge quality of life having fire breaths out more often for loving flame procs which are slept on ill miss these instant cast 235k living flames

Yes and no.
It’s not necessarily the haste that does it, but if you are talented into Causality, every tick of your Disintegrate will lower the CD on those spells (pyre will as well, but it’s based on number of targets hit, which makes it meh for arenas but good for BG’s where people are stacked together).
The more haste, the more “ticks” you can get in and they also tick quicker.
This is completely wrong lol. Mastery will work as it currently does, except once the target hits 30% will no longer scale down. So instead of mastery scaling from 100% effectiveness to 0% effectiveness from 100% hp to 0% hp, mastery will now scale from 100% effectiveness to 30% effectiveness at 30% target hp.
tomato tomato point being the way it works now makes it semi useful to a degree even after the frontload of dmg we would do during burst
The change only does anything sub 30%, which you were probably saving 2nd dragon rage for anyway.
I hope Aug is getting nerfed in PvP. It needs a swift kick to the tenders. A “support” class shouldn’t be doing comparable damage to a dps class AND buffing other classes AND have more healing and defensives. And Dev needs more than yet ANOTHER Disintegrate buff.
I’m under the impression Devoker should be a Debuff spec to counter Aug as a buff spec.
Like have abilities that reduce target’s damage done/cast speed/attack speed/etc.
Also wouldn’t hurt if we wanted to cast Pyre every once in awhile. It doesn’t compete with Disintegrate. Make Pyre give utility to next ability used, or make it always benefit from Mastery so it’s an execute, or make it give X seconds of Dragonrage, or anything.
I just don’t like how the damage profile is Azure/Living Flame for essence > Disintegrate 90% of the match.

Aug is utter trash in arena; this completely from a solo shuffle perspective. With respect to the very nature of pug arena leads to the majority of the crap. That being said, way too often the other dps is all durp durp durp at the pillar and doesn’t get the buffing you go attack idea. Truly hope it is better for the rest of you, but for me I am almost done with trying.
