This is a sympton of a different problem, not one with delves, but class design. The vast majority of classes these days do practically no damage outside of cooldowns or “damage windows”. So waiting around for your cooldowns feels like it takes just as long as going in without them. Even if that’s not true.
Take boomkins for example, their burst dps is 3 times higher than their non-burst dps. Why does it have to be such an enormous difference? They do the same amount of damage in their 20 second damage window as they will do in the next minute.
I feel like this is the reason why so many people gravitate towards Ret paladins and BM hunters. These two specs don’t follow the design philosophy of other classes. A Ret Paladin’s burst dps is only 50% higher than their sustained dps. That feels more reasonable.

They’re not really that fun in eso tbh.
I mainly pvp, but I love doing delves for some reason. The groups I make or join are super chill too.
I was new to ESO doing delves and thought they were neat till about the 8th one. I quickly came to the conclusion you just hold W till the game stops you, either solve a ‘puzzle’ or kill a named NPC or a horde of NPCs till you get to the end. Since the delves barely offer much of anything beyond mindless killing and fighting is the worst part of ESO, have to say delves suck.
Cuz ESO is currently an all around funnererer game than WoW’s current self is.
I’ve felt delves in their current form are a work in progress. They could definitely be more fun.
Nerfing Zekvir for vault wasn’t a good idea either I think mostly cuz we only get 4 keys a week from quests so max vault should be 4 and not 8 per week
