So I’m debating on using my boost to level a assassination rogue and use him for raids and keys. I’m seeing in Icey veins that almost 30% of its dps is auto attacks? So am I just applying my poisons then doing auto attacks till I get enough energy then start over?
At 413 ilvl my dmg is spread quite evenly.
Im using 3 x Nothing personal, 2 x double dose and 1 x shrouded suffocation, these are the best combo of traits to aim for in a raid settinf imo. There are arguments for stacking SS tho or having 0 SS traits and going Master Assassin instead of Subterfuge. Im also using toxic blade, vigor, EP and Subterfuge.
My top 4 dmg sources are roughly 11-14% of my dmg respectfully, those being Garrotte, Envenom, Auto attacks and rupture (depending on the fights) as bleeds will do more in cleave fights etc.
Your opener will be:
Garrotte > Rupture > Garrotte > Mut > Rupture (this gets both bleeds at full pandemic duration of 24 seconds so they last through your cd’s) after the second rupture > Vendetta + trinket > Toxic Blade > Mut to 4-5 CP > Envenom. When your Empowered Garrotte is finished > Vanish > Garrotte > Garrotte > Rupture > continue rotation. Do NOT vanish garrote before your previous garrotte is finished, let it fall off (this garuntees maximum empowered garrotte dmg) it is however ok to reapply normal garrotes early to get the pandemic effect and sometimes gain that 1 extra cp you may need.
Then its all juat about keeping bleeds up, using Toxic blade on cd and managing your Vendetta timing.
Its a fun spec and very VERY strong ST and 2-3 target cleave.
I just wish vendetta gave the rogue a dmg buff instewd of debuffing the enemy
