Im on my lvl 9 hunter questing in the barrens. The zone is supposed to scale from lvl 5- to lvl 30. Why am I getting one shot by mobs that shouldnt exist?
Haven’t those guys been around since Cata? I’ve avoided that section while leveling

For future reference, you can add a grave character ( ` ) to either side of the URL to be able to post it without modification.
They’re holdovers from a previous expansion. You’re getting one-shot because you’re trying to engage them instead of go around.
I think late Mists; after Garry officially became hostile to both factions.

Are you poking the Kor’kron mobs in certain areas?
Don’t do that! They’re mean! And they WILL annihilate you.

Yeah, they didn’t scale them. Of course pre world mob scaling, they were elites. They should have their own instance or be zapped out of Chromie time unless you picked Mists…no idea

You can do both of those if you go around them.

i thought those mobs were yellow (neutral)? on some of my horde characters they were even unattackable? did they change that?

They should be? If they’re red, that means you poked them.
They are neutral in all other regards to not just flat out curbstomp lowbies. I’ll log on my Horde to check and update accordingly.
EDIT: Nope, they’re very much hostile now. Anyone going near the area will be attacked. I do think you can still go around, but they’re certainly no longer neutral.
