I don’t know other realms situation but at least i know a friend that did boost on communities alone as healer, as i mentioned some comments above, he did this only during periods on which he required gold for legendary, consumables for mythic raid.
I don’t know what he’s going to do now for that kind of gold, since he’s part of my m+ group i gave him the legendary upgrade last time but there’s booster that used this communities for gold as needed.
Obviously there was another ton of issues regarding trade chat spam and other things like RMT, that’s why i mentioned this is a good change but we shouldn’t recommend booster other solutions without knowing their side.
I got no sympathy, I been hearing them “LOL just go raid, scrub” for 10 years. They reap what they sow.

True, actually this was caused because they pushed too much on the advertising from my pov. impacting their own community style.

This is why you can’t rely on one gold making method. I have several.
I do mission tables
I farm mats (mostly old world mats)
I craft all gear slots with different crafter’s marks
I farm transmog and pets
I sell Legendaries
Diversify is your friend.

nah it’s pretty rare what you’re talking about, if you’ve ever boosted for a community then you would know they rarely invite boosters who don’t do it a lot…They invite the guys who do 30 boost a week almost exclusively compared to the random guy that only does 2 a week.
consumables to raid mythic this late in the tier is next to nothing, I could raid 7 days a week for 30k and use vantus runes/pots/flask/food on cd…using “consumables” as an excuse is literally what EVERY RMT booster says
This, like what guild isn’t providing food/flask/runes at this point…potions cost NOTHING
I’m still convinced that all the boosting gold is what caused the brutosaur to get removed. Like they never expected that so many people could afford to buy one.
