Hi, I have a question for the team of blizzard. A lot of times I try ti find a raid for make it but I cant, so how can I advance and equip my character with new and best gear if the only choice that I have is the raid finder. Could you make a raid finder for heroic o mythic difficult if not a solo raid or something like that. Because if not is imposible go forward.
New and best gear are endgame contents which u have to put time/effort in ,but you can easily get to like 10 ilvl less than the best gear just from wq’s and it is not time dependable . The only thing u can do is join a good guild as thats what they really are there for .
Yes, because the LFR version of raids has worked out so well in the past when you require those people to do actual mechanics.
If you are struggling to find a group you have several options;
Clear normal first to demonstrate you have experience with the content and then you might have better luck landing in heroic raids more readily
Form your own group and if you’re going to use the tired excuses of “not knowing the fights well enough”, or “crippling social anxiety that prevents you from socializing”, then you have issues you need to fix on your end.
Join a guild. This is hands down your best option. A consistent group that is working through content will, most times, give you a better overall experience while providing consistency in your raid group/progression.
Edit: Out of curiosity I checked to see if you have any logs. Your azerite traits don’t match better performing rets and that is something you may want to consider changing to increase your output. Additionally, the only logs for you are not flattering, but they are also on a cheese fight of a boss. You would possibly do yourself some favors by logging more fights to demonstrate your class proficiency for both pugs and guilds.
First that all, I wrote this for blizzard team, 2° I cant play all day like others, so, is hard. I’m looking for guild some time ago, but all have the core ready and the time for raid, at least for me, is 10 or 11 pm server time.
The people who make decisions don’t read this forum and they certainly are not going to read your thread. If you were just hoping for a Blizzard response you are wasting your time.
This is tired and rote BS. Shocker, the bulk of people who play this game also have real life commitments, work and in many cases a family. Manage your time better because your schedule isn’t anything special that other people aren’t working around to manage their ability to play the game.
What level of guilds were you looking at applying to? Were you looking at ones that are well beyond your current progression or are you aiming realistically with your gear and progression? With burnout and an upcoming raid release a lot of guilds are in the process of actively recruiting to keep their rosters full. Late night guilds are also pretty common. Where are you looking for guilds? Please say it isn’t just trade chat/general chat spam in-game.
Just for the record, this isn’t quite right for pickup raids. I just invited for a mostly pickup heroic BoD - my guild provides just the tanks and one healer - and while I don’t know about the demand for tanks, for the other roles it goes as follows:
Ranged DPS (hardest to find)
Healers
Melee DPS (dime a dozen)
We required 396 for ranged DPS and healers, and 400 for melee DPS, and still ended up with a very melee heavy raid. We’ll probably increase the required ilvl for melee and healers next week, to like 405 and 399 respectively, so we can progress past the first few bosses.
For the original poster, if he wants to stick with this character, his best bet is Conquest progression for his weapon, or mythic+ where melee DPS are preferred to ranged. Or, as you said, switch to tanking.
#1 Blizzard isn’t going to reply here #2 I don’t play all day and I fit raiding in my life just fine (love the clowns that think you can’t have a life if you raid) and #3 not all guilds run at the same time
according to the badual playerbase they all have 10 jobs, 10 wives and 10 kids each requiring 30 hours of daily commitment so they don’t have time to do an M+ or pug some raid bosses for one hour per day
that is why blizzard needs to bring in this stupid 8.2 pearlescent system so that all gear below mythic raid level is invalidated and pointless in record time within 1-2 months
I’m in a guild that does mythic fairly casually, we are 7/9 and will get blockade soon. We raid 2 days a week for 3 hours a day, have been extending a lot once people had the gear to do so. At least half the raid team have kids and a family, all have jobs and a life. They’re not on very much outside of raid time. Sometimes enough on the weekends for M+, it depends on the week really.
It’s a bit of a misconception that everyone in guilds plays all the time (I play a lot but most of my guild does not).
Regarding your situation, I can say with some confidence that you’re not ready to jump into a mythic raiding guild. This is good news! Why? Well a few things: +10 keys drop heroic-quality loot outside of azerite, so you can gear up through mythic+, and 10s are not hard to do, though at your skill level if all you’re doing is LFR you’ll have to start with 5s and such and learn the ropes.
Another thing though, is if you find a casual heroic guild, this would suit your purposes well. Normal and heroic raiding is flex, anywhere from 10-30 people (although it’s harder with fewer). What this means though, is that the raid team isn’t “fixed” and they can bring you in.
I suggest looking for a guild that’s suited to your level, that being normal/heroic raiding. They will have similar skill to yours and you guys can push M+ together and get better together. If you feel after some time you’re better than them and want more of a challenge, then look for a more progressed guild when the time comes.
This is an MMORPG. The MMO means massive multiplayer online. It is a multiplayer game, and your best bet is to meet other like-minded players you can play with, whether that’s through adding friends from running M+ and/or joining a guild, doing it solo by yourself is an awful way to go about it.
