Lets put in an update to this.
Queue times on my server are now hitting in excess of 4 hours to be able to log in and play.
Months ago, people said you needed to limit in-bound transfers tothese realms and yet you did nothing. You literally took peoples money, let them pay you to make this problem, and then instead of actaually providing a fix (Lets start with all inbound xfers in the last 6 months get auto- shunted to the new realms) you want to open up option out-bound transfers to dead servers.
This is freaking stupid. Fix your crap.

Why are you defending Blizz? Honestly, they are crap and abuse their player base. Queues can happen even with subs falling when you squish everyone together and remove layers. These problems are created by Blizzard, not the players wanting to play their game lmao.

Hmm there is a solution already called free server transfer. Nobody is forcing you to wait on queue

Are you that much of a tool? You Xfer off to a server that dies, then Blizzard has you locked away from the community youâre a part on a dead server, then they extort you for another $25 to play the toons youâve invested time in.
Get a brain.
The absurd queues you are seeing are a player created problem. Players are not logging out for fear of being in any length queue so now nobody can get in⌠voila 4hr queue.
I know blizzard is an evil empire and they are extorting us but in the scenario you layed out iâd rather take the chance I may have to spend $25 down the road , which amounts to 25min of salary vs staring at a queue for hours each night for the next month. Use your time as you see fit though.
But Blizzard is the reason these servers are unplayable. They let them get too large. They migrated players to them from lower pop servers. Now they expect us to leave the servers we have been playing in. The social aspect of this game is one of WoWâs greatest sucesses. This is plain and simple bad business. And worse off they are passing the buck to the player base instead of reinvesting in their infrastructure to provide a better gameplay experience. This isnât 15 years ago. Technology has come a long way since then. They CAN but ARENâT fixing the issue. Server transfers are not a solution they are a band-aid.
This is completely normal, and servers are preforming as expected. You should just accept it.
OrâŚand I know its a crazy idea. Blizzard could invest OUR money to newer more modern equipment that can handle the load. This shouldnât happen every expansion. it IS avoidable. And WE shouldnât be so accepting of this state of affairs.
it was so bad, i would get home from work at 5:20 pm and have a queue until around 7 pm every day. i begged my boss to come in 20 mins early and leave 20 mins early because signing on at 5 PM got me in at 5:30 but my former boss was not really someone who cared about workers. heâd also show up an hour late and leave an hour early every day lmao

if you stopped accepting it, the queue would dissapear.
but then youâd queue again.
then the queue would rise.
then youâd stop accepting it.
until you reach something called a âsteady stateâ. a point where the queue is just short enough for you to accept it, but be so miserable than any longer and it would be too long.
such is the way of nature. it reaches stable balances but in very bad positions.

I have 2 more weeks before my sub expires. Wonder if I will be able to log in again before then. Probably not, as I donât want to wait for 75+ minutes to play a couple BGs.

278 minutes tonight. We will see if i can get in before then. Should be raiding right now. Insted i may fall asleep and say forget it. Dont want to say i wasted my cash and time coming back but it seems like it right now. Last Sunday was the same issue. Though i logged in 2 hours earlier this time. Smdh
