How about more character customisations?

What if we just get rid of having to choose between strictly male/female (body1/body2) body types all together and allow for more customisation overall?

Imagine we enter the character creation menu and first thing we choose from a drop down menu is the body shape. We have slim male bodies, slim female bodies, muscular male bodies, muscular female bodies, heavier male bodies, heavier female bodies to choose from.

Then we can choose the hairstyle but you do not choose hairstyle per gender. Everything goes with male and female body.

Next the features: You can choose breasts and beard on both male and female bodies.

I would prefer it this way rather than how it’s now.

Feel free to discuss but leave every political agenda out of the discussion. It’s a fantasy game, not the reality.

That would probably mean animating several new rigs for each race, which would be more effort than it’s worth, for Blizzard.

That’s a fine idea Breel.

In it’s current form it really is a meaningless button label change to placate people fighting some bizarre culture war.
The real answer if we want more representation or diversity is to add it to the game through meaningful content that adds options for players.

Anyone shooting this idea down is just too blinded by ideology to see its an opportunity for yet more ways for everyone to customize their characters - who couldn’t want that? Given, of course, it fits within the theme, lore, world etc.

If your argument is resources are best spent elsewhere, yeah - that’s probably pretty valid.

I did suggest arrows.

You know how in Classic it’s labeled “hair”, and you just used the arrows, to navigate through the options? Can do that.

I have personal feeling how I really feel about this whole thing but Its not really worth fighting over this.

So this is literally an IBTL but you created an entirely new thread for it?

Just FYI

Continuing the discussion from Welcome! Please read–:

Your own personal opinion on a topic was just that important huh?

Being called “Body Type 1” really makes it hard to believe I am an Elven caster of dark magic who’s people worship a font of Arcane Light…

In real life, the magic font worshipping Elf wouldn’t call himself “body type 1” !

(kidding)

What body type is considered masculine non binary? :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:

Listen the world needs Karens and I am here for it. We appreciate you keeping things in order.
But he is not rezzing the other thread, he is bringing forth a new idea worth considering.
It’s not even the same topic. He is talking about adding meaningful diversity he wants to see in game, not a pandering label.

Wait? Is this a forum? On the internet? Likely a DISCUSSION forum? But I’m not allowed to post my personal opinion ON A DISCUSSION FORUM? Yes, I think you are probably right. I better not have a personal opinion at all.

(It’s not like the name of the forum is “general discussion”…)

your not allowed to spam topics. every single forum has this rule.

I would like to make one leg shorter than the other while having an abnormally large cranium.

Thats OK because its a different topic. This isn’t even about the label, it’s about meaningful additions this forum poster wants to see. And he is not alone.
Why are people trying to shut this guy down?

It starts with K and ends with N.

a fantasy still needs to rely on reality. You don’t use chairs for wheels and if you did, that would just be dumb. There should only be the option for male and female. And Men need to be the higher ratio when it comes to story. This is about war and men fight wars. You can have some cool female warriors in there but the ratio should be more for men in war.

I really think you should have worded your title differently if you didn’t want to be associated with a topic you believed should/would be deleted.

Sexist much?
It’s a game that defies reality.
It’s about Magic and Fiction.

but still has to make sense

Well nothing much of what Aloyy has posted made sense.

I thought your idea was to get rid of the stuff?
