Do you guys think the patch team just like lives in a basement and only comes up into the population after 11 pm? Would you be thrilled about working an 11-7 am shift?

I remember they used to do it like at 3am PST and it ended up going to 6pm PST anyway.

It makes sense to do days, I would think the majority of players are at work or school at this time.

Most people are at work during the day.
More people are playing at night than during the daytime.

Maintenance doesn’t just happen it is real life people who do work and they should be allowed to do that during work hours that are normal for humans

Best thing is a compromise on both ends.
They get to work during the day, and our game is up in the evening.

I don’t know. When we lived in Japan, it was awesome b/c maintenance happened while I was asleep. /grin
This. Good grief, people.
You can survive regular maintenance, which means 1-4 hours each week without being logged in.
For extended maintenance like this–for an actual content patch day that requires extended maintenance, you want that to happen on a day when everyone is at work.
Don’t wish for a third shift skeleton crew to be running your maintenance. Just…deal with not being logged in for a few hours.
