Doesn’t really have to be a high percentage but it would add some non “currency” value to running the place.
alot dungenget a HAHAHAHAHAH i can not get in trongarth i think i gotta get level 60
None of that makes a lick off sense but thanks for sharing I guess….
I heard in beta it had gear.
Players said it made them feel forced into doing Torghast so Blizzard removed it.
Thank you preach, and other streamers for ruining something that could of been good.
How? I can understand if you wanted BoP gear, because that’s something you can keep or vendor. But BoEs would just be farmed endlessly and flood the AH, and are exactly a currency (gold) value to running Torghast.
Out of the 100 posts Ive seen her post, Ive understood exactly none of em.
Everything is currency if your goal is to find a way to make something a currency. Simply vendoring the loot would make it currency as well. I think the idea is more about the purpose of the gear, not what people choose to do with it.
I think the streamers were right then. If Torghast dropped gear players would feel forced to run it, and players already complain about having to run it for cinders/ash. The drop rate would have to be much higher than any other loot drop rate to make it worthwhile for the majority of the players, and that’s just not Blizzard’s style.
Or Blizzard would add some restrictions, to make gear drops from Torghast the SL equivalent of 5-masking HVs.
Yeah at first I thought it was some gimmic a play on being a troll or something but over time I just don’t know anymore.
To the post, they did add in some Tmog shoulders at the vendors.
For sure, boe epics would make worth the effort outside of legendaries. Layer 12 is what recommended Item level? Anyway, have boe drops scale to the recommended Item level for each layer. Sounds reasonable and should be ultra rare. No fixed guarantees. Or have them drop more often if bop.
Personally, I enjoy Torghast and gear would help me alot. Though the elite raiders & key bros might not like solo accessible decent gear availability. Oh well.
Nah, it was a good thing. Imagine being forced to run something that looks bland in every room for gear.
They just had to do Island gear again
Chance to get a transmog piece
Coulda been gear pieces to complete older sets that were never fully available, or gear from revamped classic dungeons cuz the gear is “dead” so we find it in the afterlife
I would of enjoyed it, I enjoy torghast much more then dungeon or raid content. Mostly because it’s where I am more comfortable. I don’t run the risk of people slowing me down, or me slowing them down. There is no awkward tension due to people being rude or judgmental. It’s just a safe space to play the game and enjoy yourself. Do I wish it was done in a more interesting way? You betcha, I loved MoP scenarios back in the day, even though this required a party of 3. They felt pretty great and had stories to make them feel more dungeon like.
Ultimately I’d rather they just make 1-3 player version of dungeons, but Torghast had the potential to fill a missing gap in the game. But beta players made sure we didn’t get that.
Problem is it would be a solo-player gearing method via instance and blizz hates that. You have to dungeon, pvp, or raid for gear. And if it did drop any gear, it would be garbage ilvl anyway.
To be clear it’s rather obvious blizzard doesn’t hate that. It was there prior to testers getting their hands on it. It was streamers that hated it, which got attention of other beta players and it created a hate wagon. Leading to the change. The fact that it had gear before players decided it was a bad idea says it’s not because Blizzard is against it, but rather the fanbase which they cater to is. They havn’t really learned yet that streamers are not really looking out for their best interest. They rather have content that is more exclusive so they have things people go to them to watch be done.
I’m against solo-instanced gearing that would bypass any need for raiding, M+, or PVP group activities. If lets say, its LFR ilvl sure…go for it, but if you want higher quality gear you must do intended MMORPG features aka grouping content as this is not Skyrim where you can kill dragons solo and forge dragonbone armor.
I suppose the 252 Conduit Upgrade or the bonus Socket in the Adamant Vaults count as the BoEs…
Which is fine, if they decide to crackdown on the dungeon and raiding community like Final Fantasy does. Handing out bans to any level of toxic behavior.
To be clear, grouping isn’t bad. It’s the people you have to deal with that are. Get rid of those people and that content would be fine to be the only available content for progression.
Also as I stated the drop rate should be low and random (it may not even be an item you can use on the current alt)…Not like you should be able to gear yourself just via Torghast, but right now I do not find motivation enough to run Island Expeditions 2.0 (Torghast) in acquiring soul ash and cinders.
Torghast feels more like a place for player punishment, rather than NPC punishment.
