How about a rework on Diminishing Returns?

What if a general DR internal cooldown effected allt he CC spells… and when used 3 times in less than 15 seconds loses its effectiveness. IE As a rogue i go to open as a sap the first target i sap gets the full 8 the next person i sap gets the 5 then the third on i sap gets 2. Unless i dont sap long enough for the internal DR cooldown to reset. Basically to allow more spells to be used in games and more meaningful times when the CC is used. SPamming sheep and making sure some one is sheeped at ALL times as a mage is meh… Ya its a higher skill ceiling to keep track of sheeping so many people but games are funner for everyone when you can PLAY more and be cced less. Its definitely a nerf to all cc across the board… But it increases the action in the games and INSANELY dials down the amount of times a CC button is pressed. Sheep and fear and all that stuff is pressed over 50% of presses in a game where like immolate or frostbolt are pressed like 22% of the time and other spells into that percentage. I made those numbers up. But they seem right! so… ya

There’s keystone dungeons if you’d prefer to avoid having CC impede your ability to do damage.

IDK, some vines popped up out of the ground and entangled me until I died. Pls nerf

No thank you.

The counter to CC is good positioning and preing things. Both are the highest of skill cap determinants.

ur doing 20s already tf

I think the real problem here is the presence of micro cc on top of the normal cc categories.

Knock downs, multiple grips, roots that don’t dr other roots, knockbacks that don’t dr other knockbacks, etc. are the overall issue. Poly, fear, stun, etc. aren’t that big of a deal if you learn how to play around it.

Beyond that, the base UI sucks at giving you any information. They have the AWC viewer UI - just implement that with some icons for CC DR on each frame. Boom, done.

SWTOR solved this problem 13 years ago with the resolve system

Hitting someone with 2 hard stuns in a row or a combat sap/ blind gave them so many seconds of WoW’s precog once the CC resolved.

Blizz won’t ever do it becauase that’d ruin their Rogue Mage Priest meta favorite classes ongoing 20 years

What’s dumb is i use psychic scream alot for 1 second of cc to finish off enemy healers at 20%

10s are the new 20 :dracthyr_a1:

Are we forgetting all the periods of teams just parsing on each other with pve dmg

The game will be healthy going back to 1-2 ccs a class and putting a CD on cyclone if no resolve system

My Arms:
Root(s)
Ranged stun
Cleave stun
AoE fear
Bladestorm channel slow
Pummel

Holy Priest:
Stun
Low CD AoE fear
AoE root
Mind Control

Unholy:
Strangulate
Asphyxiate
Blinding Sleet
Mind Freeze
2x grips
2x DnD 90% slow

Additional BS that you can’t use human racial on a fear+stun from locks

If only SWTOR’s game engine didn’t suck horribly. It was fun.

Wow doesn’t have this problem. SWTOR’s pvp was garbage.

how bout disc not needing 2 different sets for 2s and 3s

and a 4pc that helps.

Cyclone must be fine then according to do the posts about it

Did SWTOR really solve the problem if the game is ultimately dead?

Cyclone just needs a second off the duration and any cast time modifiers removed.

The game doesn’t need a redesign of cc drs so that mongoloids can continue to ignore all aspects of the game other then pushing 1,2,3.
