I wouldn’t mind seeing the Horde get either and maybe Junkers and Akoan for Alliance.
I can see the JUnkers as being the race that both sides helped but they went with their Gnome brethren and joined the Alliance and seeing how the Alliance runs with the Akoan in Nazjatar I can see them being a potential Allied Race and I wouldn’t mind either as an alt on my Alliance server.
I can see that. To give it a “Gnome” theme he will have a gear hanging off the saddle.
I completely agree. Give the alliance something different, something unique and not just another reskin. Jinyu/Ankoan, Sethrak, or even High Elves/Wildhammer dwarves that players have been asking for despite being reskins. I am completely against Junker gnomes being an allied race, but would be perfectly fine with them being added Gnome customization options.

Your idea gets a No from me.
Oh boy, this again.
Junkers are not Gnomeregan gnomes and would not be customizations for the latter, that ship sailed when Blizzard decided that Lightforged, Highmountain, Dark Irons, and Mag’har were worthy of being their own races instead of just barbershop options. They’re a separate model from Gnomeregan gnomes with unique animations that highlight their half-machine nature, it would be easier to just release them as their own race instead of retrofitting their cybernetics and hairstyles onto the classic gnomes, assuming that’s even possible.
And since many people are saying that every core race will inevitably get their own AR, what would gnomes get if junkers were already available to them as barbershop options? Leper gnomes? As much as people bash junkers for their continued existence, they would scream even louder if the Alliance got insane, diseased gnomes.

The thing though is… Nobody cares about gnomes. They are already a joke race, and giving the alliance junker gnomes would be a slap in the face just as much as void elves were. But at least void elves are played… Junkers would have like 12 people playing them…

“This one race that isn’t as popular as humans or elves doesn’t deserve to be given anything good!”
The fact that people are so adamantly against the idea of Blizzard finally throwing gnomes a bone by giving them some story relevance in the form of a new subrace just because it offends their delicate sensibilities is sickening and deplorable.

If they allow Junker gnomes to be Paladins that would go far in improving their popularity.

Oh, Im all for giving characters in the game more story relevance. But as it stands, Gnomes barely have any story relevance this far into the games life. They are a joke race, even when it comes to their questing. They just wouldnt be a good selling point either. As a company, blizzard should offer players what players are willing to buy their game, expansions, and pay their sub for. And when it comes to character creation, that means interesting classes and races. Gnomes just dont fill that at all.

Now don’t get me wrong I personally don’t care if the Alliance gets either and to be honest I think Wildhammer would of been better then Darkiron.
I think possibly a better fit for both sides are going to be the 2 races from Nazjatar.
Please refrain from cutting up my passage, I named those two because they have been heavily requested before the introduction of allied races and even admitted to them being a reskin.

THing is Alliance already got their Highelf reskin .
Even if you don’t like the name Void Elves and Blood Elves are High Elves.
All 3 consider Quel’thalas to be their home even if circumstances prevent them from going there. All do have some reverance for the sun well .

Yes, I agree with you there. But the fact of the matter is that void elves should have been high elves that underwent the whole void thing. Alleria isnt purple skinned. Shes a normal high elf that has a void form. Its inclusion was not wrong, its execution was.
Edit: Blizzard is rather good at including things well but executing them poorly…

Well this is an mmorpg I don’t actually rp but I do like to make mental back stories for my main toons that may have some rp aspects to them.
My main toons are hunters this one which I play as a Frost Wolf Clan Orc.
I try to gear him in ways that look like he comes from Frost Fire Ridge , Ihave him riding a wolf ect.
My other hunter is a Velf but instead of being a Belf my little personal story is that she’s a High Elf that has followed the teachings of Alleria and has embraced the power of the void as a weapon to use against her enemies .
Now some people are not going to be happy unless they get exactly what they want but sometimes the best fun can be had with greatest toy that everyone had as a child no matter if they were dirt poor or filthy stinking rich and that has always been the imagination .
I agree with that as well, but sometimes, imagination just isnt enough. Just look at the ban wave recently for using third party clients to alter the appearance of player models for… various reasons… Some people used them to update old armor textures, some used them to make it look like their night elf was a high elf, etc.
I think the majority of players in these high elf and wildhammer camps would be happy with just an optional feature for character creations. Light skinned void elves like alleria, and tattoo options for dwarves. Regular, normal, character customization options that dont require adding a whole new allied race and taking up a slot that could be filled with something actually unique.
You arent getting mechagnomes, you might get junk gnomes, however.

I hate when people confuse the two too
Gnomes in general should have access to Paladins. They’ve been Allied with Dwarves and Humans for a very long time and are very versatile in accepting belief systems.
