So, Hardcore is hard. It’s simply not easy to do under any circumstance.
Just getting to 60 on classic is a marathon.
Given the problems with Disconnecting and weird unexplainable deaths, maybe Blizz could implement “saves”.
Example: Every 15 levels, your progression is saved. If you die, you can restart on that same character at the Save point. Would this be too against the spirit of HC?
idk about the spirit, but it doesn’t work like this on HC servers. If you wanted to set your own rules and save points though, you could play on any other server, and do that/
No. If you don’t like hardcore, just don’t play hardcore. You’re just asking for an exacerbated version of softcore where there’s experience loss.
There already is a save point for when you die.

I personally wouldn’t care since hardcore is mostly just a massive time sink than anything else, but I know they never would since it’d upset too many people of a certain type.
You’d also have to only let them be re-born with the saved checkpoint equipped gear and nothing in their inventory or bank or their gold or it’d be an easy way to dupe.
I get where you are coming from. I really do. I had my 19 hunter die today. The entire gnoll area in redridge popped at once on me. I ran. I had my pet trying to peel as many as it could until it died. Nothing I could do. I probably shouldnt have been there finishing the quest, as it was even level. But thats the haps.
A save point kind of goes against the spirit of hardcore. DC deaths, random spawn deaths. All of the unfair and unreasonable deaths are a part of hardcore. Even though they suck, and Im going to probably take a break from HC for a bit, but… they are a part of the experience.
Disconnecting is not capitalized.

How about a save point at 30. This gives everyone an opportunity to actually play the higher level 40-60 zones on hardcore, even those with full-time jobs.
Every day a softcorer makes a bs thread begging to destroy hardcore. It doesn’t end.
Afraid you’ll have to juggle your gold to your money alt and die right after your first mount expenditure.
