It bothers me that when you hover, if you toggle chosen identity, it will not swap you back once the hover ends.
That got me thinking, and I think instead of just fixing it, what if you could hover in both forms? Like your visage would levitate like how it does when you glide in visage.
Of course certain spells would turn you back into a dragon mid hover, like they currently do when in visage, but I think that would be really cool alternate option.
Even though, I know if they fix it, they will probably take the path of least resistance.
Given the animation already exists there should just be a visage hover option. There should additionally be checks added to the abilities that put you into dragon form so that you auto-swap back to visage even if youāre out of combat, and as a final touch I would have attempting to mount also cause a visage check and swap you if necessary before mounting.
Chosen Identity works a lot better than Iād have thought, but yeah itās not fully fleshed out yet.
Itās wild that this was still never fixed. It should be easy to trigger the Visage form after the Hover buff expires. The Chosen Identity feature might as well not exist because it gets completely ignored the second you want to move quickly, which is basically always.
And yes, Iām necroing this after almost 2 years because itās so egregious ā and also because this thread is the first hit on Google.
We know itās not a bug, genius. Bugs are not the only things that can be corrected. It needs to be fixed to include Hover, because otherwise itās pointless.

Plays the class with a specific feature, and wants that feature to be useful and engaging. And Visage form is a big part of Dracthyr identity, in case the reason you donāt know is that you didnāt play the game at all.

For the first one because itās not a bug. Itās intended as implied by the tooltip.
2nd one because your a dragon? Dragons are cool donāt want to not see a dragon when inviting an evoker. Not to mention the broken animations and sheer dumb animations when transformed.
Dracthyrās have some of the coolest animations involving wings, tails, etc. I want to enjoy them even if Iām on an alt (as I only post on pala to show forum history as I donāt think it resets upon character change and I want to be consistant and stuff).
And honestly itās like at the end of the day yall chose to play dracthyr not forced to.
TLDR dragons are cool I want to see them even when Iām pushing rating on an alt such as dracocleave in PvP.
Dont care too much about depriving people of joy, itās weird you would assume that because I want specific visuals on my screen and advocate for it. Because thatās what your doing to me too
