Please let it be a bug because why is housing xp split? I am decorating the horde house but now it will be a level behind the alliance house. Thought xp was meant to be shared between both houses. Really not interested in grinding xp for two.
As far as i understand, housing XP gained from buying itens for the first time is shared, but endeavors are separated.
Edit: I think its because you can have a certain themed endeavor in the Horde but a different one in Alliance, so it wouldnt be fair to share. Or something like that, that blizzard fun-patrol allways use as an excuse.
I think it’s intentional, because of how endeavors work and if I’m right I loathe that aspect of housing more than any other. All the fun rooms and different exterior sizes are all gated behind this awful leveling system. Doing it once is painful and I’m neglecting my horde characters and house because of it.
This is so real. It was awesome at first when it was equal and 1 to 1, but with endeavor xp splitting housing and how much time it takes doing exclusively that alone… I can’t upkeep two houses. I guess I gotta pick one, and I will probably pick my Horde house tbh.
Yeah, a lot of us are in that boat. It’s frustrating for sure.
What if someone has one house does the other half of xp go? Blown to the wind?
This is how I’m feeling. Their intent was obviously to make it so that we would be forced to do both neighborhoods’ endeavors, but all this does is make me neglect one, which doesn’t feel good. I’d actually feel more inclined to do both if it was shared xp but capped at 1k per faction. If I knew I could double my account housing xp by doing the other faction, I’d definitely be doing both.
It would be saved to your account.
If you ever place down a new house, it would also be at level 9 since you already did that grueling House XP grind.
That’s how players would like House XP to function.

With this current system, I can’t help but feel unenthused. I don’t like either of the current housing neighborhoods. I mainly RP on Horde side, but the Horde neighborhood is mostly ugly with a tiny patch of pretty forest.
If we are given another housing area (example: Grizzly Hills), we would have to do the whole grind all over again. All that House XP @@
Yeah, same. I’ve disengaged with housing entirely over this. It’s such a grind in the first place and to make us do it twice? It’s to the point I don’t even want to think about it.
If you only have one house then you are not earning the other half. You can’t earn it if you don’t have a house in the neighborhood.
The system right now is great! When I do quests for my neighborhood I earn XP for the house in it. Easy and simple to do.
