Housing Plot boundries

Is there a way to visually see the edges of my plot?

Kind of. If you drag an object across the boundary, the grind will change from yellow to red when you cross the line.

Right now, not really but you could drag object across the bounday or near the edges to see how far you can place things etc.

Place objects at the edge like dots, take a screenshot. Move/remove them when you get used to where they end.

Related to this, as much as I appreciate MOST of the security settings applied to different houses, I think adding a “Get off my LAWN!” setting is just a bit too much. I’m not really a fan of randomly getting teleported off of certain fields of grass as I walk through a neighborhood. Sure, if someone wants to keep me out of their home, fine, but perhaps we can avoid bringing the modern notion of “that’s MY lawn” back into our fantasy setting and just let people walk around freely?

This isn’t particularly a BIG issue, as MOST people don’t “lock” their lawns, but for the few that do, it can be very disorienting suddenly getting warped off and to the side when looking around. It’s just grass, and we literally can’t do anything to said grass, so this is the ONE security setting I think should be removed.

I’ve placed Stone pillars for now at the corners.

So one annoying thing, theres no stairs separate from the stair rooms.

People are doing creative things though with those lumber & stone bars (see the Housing Gallery on Wowhead).

I am sadly not this creative lol

This is such a hack of a solution.

A waste of item limit too.

You can use fences to delineate the borders. Place one down and use the “move” function in the advanced tools to slowly push it towards your boundary, and it will start to jink back in when you reach the edge. That way you don’t have to keep trial and error re-summoning it.

The Waning wood fence from the vendor in Duskwood at Raven hill is best for this, as it’s nice and long.

Kinda, but the indoor limit is so generous that it’s ok to be wasteful. I just wish the outdoor budget was a little higher.

I love it! Beautiful creativity that looks exactly what I want to see.

Same. It’s a bummer.
