It doesn’t. No more than me sitting in Stormwind doing nothing to queue for a dungeon. If that’s what somebody does. I’m never sitting around. I use my queue time to do other things, like mining or questing. The idea that people would somehow sit around more in a house doing absolutely nothing, more than they do in a major city is idiotic. People gonna do what they gonna do whether it’s Stormwind or their own house.
Also: Imagine having an actual interactive player economy. Player housing expands interaction and being out in the world. The Garrison did the exact opposite.

Housing is a Final Fantasy FFXIV feature.
Tight controls and responsive gameplay, which leads to a more satisfying PVP experience… this is what WoW has.
It’s going to be hard to get housing in WoW at this point, but anything is possible.
I agree. It’s a pipe dream and a fantasy that will never happen. I can’t see the devs being creative enough to implement anything properly that lasts more than one expansion. But, as they say, it’s fun to dream.

Simple. It gives you content to do in the world and raids, collecting trophies etc. and it could lead you to interact with other players (even for pvp), example: professions to build different things for your house and more.
Games with good housing are way more social and have more interaction. That’s just how it is.

How DARE Blizzard devs not want to add housing so people empty the world they built so they can play sims house.
Because not all of us want to play house in an mmo. If I wanted to play house I would buy The Sims. Good for ESO. Go play house there then.
For me their current content doesn’t exactly have me spending time in their world.
Good thing no one is saying it should be required.

Yes you are the minority. We get it. It’s something very popular, housing could give new life in to professions, pvp, even give you more reasons to do raids, dungeons, collecting things etc. etc. But hey… we don’t need people playing a game together right?

If housing were implemented in WoW, nobody would force you to do it. Just don’t participate in something you don’t enjoy. I’m sure there are things in WoW already that you don’t do because you don’t enjoy it. I honestly will never understand the mentality of not wanting something in a game just because you would choose not to do it. I mean, if I felt that way, there’s a lot I would remove. But, I don’t because I understand different people like different things and there’s no point in me trying to prevent other people from having fun.

I’ll never understand why people are so fixated on the idea that everyone must afk in the same place.
Like, what do you get out of seeing a bunch of comatose bodies in city hubs? Is that fun for you?

It certainly doesn’t do anything for me, unless it’s a dwarf. lol
One of the things I remember fondly from BfA was hanging around Boralus and simply watching the NPCs go by and interact. It made the city feel alive. Recently I s̶t̶a̶l̶k̶e̶d̶ followed an NPC in Dalaran and it was pretty neat to see him go around talking to vendors and then set his hearthstone to an inn.
Posts telling people to go play some other game are famously good for keeping players in the world.

Blizzard would be smart to revisit this and introduce actual housing into the game. Not only would it provide them their favorite tool in the use of a “gold sink”, it would also open up more options for the cash shop if they were to follow the model set forth by ESO. And when you look at the profit Zenimax makes just in people buying limited edition houses and housing cosmetics from their shop its ridiculous.
Furthermore Blizzard would be answering one of the oldest and most sought after player requests in this game. It certainly would be something of an announcement that would easily draw back in players and excite the current fan base as well. But I’ll just sit here and twiddle my thumbs, waiting…

The mentality is pretty selfish and self-centered.
Basically, it is “if i don’t want it, it should not be there to consume any dev respurces and the entire dev team should only work on sth i like/want.”
