I hope they do Blood Elf housing in the future, let’s be honest yes they have to do Orc houses first because they’re the primary race of the horde but I don’t want an Orc house. I want a Blood Elf house.

It would be great if race specific houses were a thing like back in Wildstar. But it’ll probably be like the Horde garrison where the house is nothing but spikes and wood while the decor will be whatever looks good to the player.

I don’t see the point of housing if we’d just be stuck with orc/human garbage. We already have garrisons with those aesthetics if people want them. Housing should provide something different.

If it goes well I can see them start cranking out the housing types for various races and maybe even classes. But they did say they wanted to start small to make sure it works.

yeah this cos Housing is one of the biggest things in gaming recently. But human houses are boring and orc houses are just crude savage huts with spikes on. Every time I’m in Eversong Woods I’m constantly seeing the Blood Elf architecture and want to have my own that I can decorate the hell out of. I even tried to make my house in Elder Scrolls Online look like a blood elf tavern because that was the closest thing I could get XD

The smartest thing Blizzard can do is have us start with a small instanced room (accessed from one of the unused doors in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Ironforge, wherever) that we can decorate with whatever aesthetic we please.
Then, as time goes on, allow a larger room, then a two room apartment and so on, not worrying about actual houses until after the feature is solidly established because lets be real here, folks are going to criticize any aesthetic that is not in their head the same way they did the heritage armor.

Human houses seem pretty cozy. I wouldn’t mind draenei houses. There’s like a gorillion draenei doodads and art assets from WoD. There’s a whole suburb area by Shattrath that they did practically nothing with and it looks fantastic.

I don’t think I have a single character that would want the same aesthetic as others, so I reaaaaaaallly hope that we don’t have to wait forever for different house styles. All of my humans don’t want the castle look, all of my orcs don’t want a dirt house with spikes, and that’s not talking about all of the other races I have.
I’m hopeful the customization will be insane eventually over time but hope that time isn’t many months or years. They have GOT to know we’ll want a lot to start off.
At the very least we need different houses based on race to start off, then eventually classes and then after that different looks overall. I guess we’ll see…

BE’s are far and away the largest population of Horde players, housing is coming in an xpac focused on BE’s and expecting them to already be updating or making new BE assets for a Silvermoon/Quel’thalas revamp that they could have also used for housing and saved a bunch of dev effort.
There is no reason Orc/Human has to be the baseline for all faction content aside from lack of creativity from Blizzard. They should be doing at the very least all the original races for each faction but I suppose they simply don’t have the budget for that kind of completeness anymore. #SmallIndieCompany

I thought the primary horde races were orcs, trolls, tauren, and goblins. Considering what the alliance have to often fight. 
I don’t think housing aesthetics should be predetermined by any race or class for that matter in the game. If they want to do housing right, give the player a template home and allow us to theme it however we want to. Location is important certainly, but I’m talking about the house itself. Don’t force me to choose a “Blood Elf house” an “Orc House” etc. Let me be creative.

I hope we get more variety for the houses themselves. I want to make a hunter’s lodge or longhouse. I’m not surprised that they’re only launching with neighborhoods in Orgrimmar and Stormwind, though.

I would also like Blood Elf houses. I am not a fan of huts. I like my garrison, but I’d like something a bit more fancy.
I mean, I am a Blood Elf, I’d like to sip my wine in style.

I hated garrisons for not allowing us to use different races architecture. I hope they remedy this with player housing. Walking around my human garrison as a night elf felt so wrong.
