It’s not limited to 20… you can keep hitting “Refresh” in the House Finder UI to bring up 5 new instances each time until you find one that has your desired plot still available for 1,000g.

One of the housing devs already confirmed on X that other racial exteriors are coming, but not until launch (i.e., NOT coming before 2-Mar-2026).

Roughly each profession for each expansion + vanilla has 2 things on average to make, Inscription though got around 5 per expansion.
Lumber is going to be at a premium, and you won’t get that till you visit the town center in housing.

Housing could have just been a chill, interesting thing to do.
But nope, had to integrate the grind and then double it.

I’m going to have to say that given the article was implying that every account was going to need every craft and every rep in every expansion leveled up, if this is not true they have just shot themselves in the foot by thinking this would be the inspirational part of housing.

I prefer my information to be delivered by carrier pigeon, but only if they’re wearing little goggles to protect their eyes in flight. It’s how I best retain information. How DARE blizzard not send out carrier pigeons!

It’s also entirely counter to how WOW handles all other “fluff” items – which is why I think many of us kinda expected deco to be based on unlocks, not discrete items.

I agree. Much easier not to get on the hamster wheel. If it makes you feel good thinking that other people are going to be playing 40 extra hours a week through much of the expansion, that’s a you thing.

Well yes and no…
I wouldnt wish what I did on anyone, and that is to have master of all for every expansion. However, you and I are going to need points from every dang decor item to level up housing renown so in my case, it’s a blessing… but for everyone else they are going to need to find crafters that have the rep for all the decor, and although I am esteemed most of my alts are not and I am waiting for Blizzard to make all reps warband wide like they said.
I don’t need that. I want it less now than back when it was first introduced without the expectation that it was going to be a multi-tiered grind to unlock and purchase things with old currencies and real money.
Well that makes me feel less annoyed about leveling my inscriptionist this afternoon to 98 (will get the last 2 for free via DMF) Got all the old expacs already done, just need the last couple that I kind of ignored.

After watching the housing 101 video, I plan to buy my plot and use the free 60 housing items only! I need to save my gold for tmogs, gear repairs, and consumables. So, I’ll spend a few hours or less getting my house setup and then continue to farm gold for when Midnight releases in March.

I wonder how different the Housing System is going to be even 1 year from now. Wonder how much of these “Pain points” that we’ve been expressing since it was brought about will be changed for the better, or the worse…
How much of it will be changed to how it should have been on launch, instead of what it is going to be come Tuesday. I think we’re in for some hard times with housing, with the constant Yo-Yo that blizzard does of give and take.
I’m also looking forward to the 16 hour maintenance window on Tuesday (even though it’s technically planned for 8 hours). Wonder if we’ll get a repeat of the Garrison Launch with WoD…
