House leveling

Now that people have been leveling, what is the most optimal/fast route? Endeavors, buying decor, I’m curious what is optimal thanks in advance

Not sure there is an optimal route.

  • Endeavors have a maximum of 2500 experience per endeavor. 2250 from various tasks and 250 from the chest when the endeavor is maxed out.
  • Gathering decor isn’t capped but only gives 10 experience per first time collection.

You will need both to level as quickly as possible and both are time consuming.

Yeah, you are asking two things. Optimal and fast.

Optimal is to let it come to you, your house will level in time.

Fast? Decor collecting and endeavors, no other way.

Each endeavor completion is equivalent to collecting nearly 25% of all items available in early access. You can fully achieve the 2250 endeavor exp cap in a couple hours with a Grummle expedition, though it will take longer if your neighborhood is ethereal, dracthyr, or nifflen.

Decor collection is not a fast method of leveling your house. You should only go after the decor you actually want to use.

Mechagnomes also seemed pretty fast, but that may be my hyperfocused state at the time talking.

Currently I am sitting at 10,910. Was 10,900 in another post and still need 1,990 to hit the next house tier. When it first launched, getting from 1-5 was easy with just Decor alone. When the next phased dropped each house level thereafter started with a huge jump of 2000 experience increased by 200 more plus base 2000 per level.

That said, Endeavors for this 1st month allows 2250 + milestone of 250. Once Midnight launches you can get more drop pieces from Eastern Kingdoms not counting any other locations they decide to add. Sadly, would be nice if they do a weekly reset on experience you can get from endeavors, but you know people will grind out that experience as fast as possible then you won’t see people doing anything in your neighborhood.

Your choices basically are time to do endeavors or time gathering and having someone or you craft the pieces, or the fastest but most expensive path is let someone do the work and you buy the item on the Auction House.

Currently I craft for free to anyone that needs something made. I use the parts I get lucky to not need to fund my own items I need or sell back on the AH the parts usually 50% less than the next closest person as I am not in need of gold and so far, I am breaking even on crafting even when I buy parts to finish my own crafts.

You will need both to level up, not only one

Anyone noticed the DR on Endeavors resets when changing neighborhoods, is that a bug or intended?

I do about 100xp a day at the moment which is 30k xp per year.

Decors xp applies to both houses.

You can also change the active endevour to level your other factions house.

Might just spam LFR on my healers and make 50xp every 5 bosses.

Too get a opposite side faction house I assume you have to drop 1000 gold since the first house is free. Since my last post, I’m currently sitting at 11150/12900 working on level 9. Even if I manage to get these last 40 decorations from Drops, Unlockable and Vendors, not counting the Elven endeavor and Eastern Kingdoms (Midnight) I definitely will need the next endeavor cycle to get more experience etc. starting March 2nd.

Only good thing is I came out slightly ahead when crafting the professional pieces because the extra return parts offset what I had to spend to make items. Not really decorated my exterior or my interior because last time I did, trying to rearrange my rooms with increased budget saw all that hard work poof.

You can do legacy raids and legacy world quests for endeavor exp. When they upped the cap, I got my dracthyr house re-maxxed just by doing transmog runs, farming legion resources, and farming lumber for gold. It’s basically 50-100 house exp minus diminishing returns for every transmog run, and those typically take 5-10 minutes depending on raid and travel time.

Thanks going to try Naxxramas for 15 bosses first.
