Does anyone remember how many hours per week you need to make reasonable progression to avoid stagnation and leading to attrition? As I remember it, anything less than 9 hours of raiding per week triggers a never ending gearing of new players.
I see a lot of guilds only raiding 6 hours per week and I don’t see that happening in classic.
They can both be killed in literally 1 raid day of 4 hours.
MC raid becomes an hour raid. Then BWL is out and that takes around 90 minutes and Ony is only 20 minutes at the most, so once again you can do 3 raids in 1 day of raiding.
I chain pulled MC back in the days when we were partially BWL geared because a few people needed T2 pants and our MT/GL really wanted thunderfury. Think the best we did was 1hr 15min. That being said, because we are progressing in BWL already, most people were probably not paying attention in MC… but either way, less than an hour is definitely possible, but I don’t see most people doing it cuz 1) if you can do <1 hr MC, you don’t need MC, and 2) if you can do <1 hr MC, your raiders will likely be alt-tabbed half the time…
raiding in vanilla wow is 90% prep 10% raiding with people that know what they are doing and show up with all consumables. A fresh guild walking into MC can easily clear it in 2 hours, speed run guilds will do it 40-45min. Casual guilds not using everything possible could take 4 hours+
at the beginning expect mc to take 4+hrs min and expect to not finish it till half your guild has a few epic pieces each. i could be wrong though as this is 1.12 so should be easier than originally, just like the low lvl grinding is.
You get out what you put in… If you guys are all pre raid bis it wont take more than 3 hours for a full MC clear and an hour for a full Ony clear.
There is literally 0 reason to even have 2 raid days at the start. As you guys get better at MC and more geared, it will go down to prolly 2 hours or 90 minutes.
Given how easy MC will be with 1.12 talents, 1.12 item stats and 16 debuff slots, I think some guilds might be clearing mc in under 60 minutes their second week in.
It’s hard to say man. It really depends on how prepared you guys are in term of consumables and how well everyone listens to instruction. Your MT gear is also very critical so as a guild, it may be a good idea to gear your MT as a guild and to provide him with flasks. If you MT and OT for that matter is under-geared or unskilled, you can expect to wipe night after night at the two fire giants at the entrance
With average players who listen to instruction well and come prepared, and with a good and geared MT and decently geared OT, I think downing one additional boss each week is reasonable. Keep in mind, you will also need fire resist gear for a few fights such as Baron.
I can’t stress enough of having a geared and skilled MT will mean the world.
