Make tanks do 25% more dmg but take 25% more dmg in pvp only. Therefor making them a dps spec in pvp.

they already do more dps than dps in some cases, lets not do this and make them take 60% increased damage (instead of the current 50% it’s at or something)

It’s 40% man. And tanks don’t do more dmg than dps. Show me proofs. Maybe a gladiator tank vs some rival or lower dps might do more dmg but not players on equivalent ground.

Tanks vs ANYONE on equal ilvl they will not out dmg anyone though to be fair.

oh is it 40% now? i read somewhere that it was 50%. that’s depressing.

i was mostly referring to the broken state of guardian druids, but i believe that was addressed (since PVEers are complaining and blaming PVP about it xd).

sadly, i don’t think blizz is willing to deviate too far from pve design so tanks fully becoming dps in pvp isn’t a hopefuly thing to ask for. think it’s because there’s no way in-game to tell the difference between PVE and PVP stuff.

There is a way to differentiate. The game shows the difference when you enter pvp combat. Literally for me my healing used to be nerfed by 80% when I’d get in pvp. Pvp gets enabled the moment you hit another player or healer another player who is either hit by another player or being hit by one.

25% more dam and 125% more damage taken and you got a deal.

a flat 25% damage reduc/buff wouldn’t work.

you’d need to change some of the defensives and utility spells as well.

if shield role players want to be a sword role, they need the wod gladiator stance treatment in the form of a talent on the tank trees.

example is Gladiator Stance: Increases physical damage dealt by 5%, and replaces your Shield Block with Shield Charge.

You cannot change into or out of this stance during combat.

iirc they eventually tacked on a stam reduction as well, that or defensive stance granted stam for prot idr.

gladiator stance for warriors.
dire bear for guardians.
drunken brawler for brewmaster.
butcher presence for blood dk.
fel lord form for veng dh.

tanks can’t keep the defensive utility/off healing they have atm and “be fine” it’d take more tweaking that just a flat out % nerf/buff

They don’t have the workforce for such a big rework. So that’s why they can only do a flat buff and nerf. They cannot redesign anything right now because paladin would’ve gotten a rework months ago if they could.

i miss being a dps blood dk. i know right now they can get some crazy death strikes but its not the same. you think with the advent of pvp talents they would’ve pulled the trigger on this by now. but this is much harder to do than turn female humans into bowls of fruit.

These types of talents exist, they are just so underwhelming that they never see use. Blood for Blood for BDK, Warrior of Light for Prot Paladin. The concept is there, but the damage/defense trade off is so minimal that it isn’t worth the pvp talent

Enjoying DK went downhill for me after Blood dps went away :frowning:

like, do they honestly believe blizzard is going to block a whole role out of a game mode. its not happening.

they aren’t removing tanks from a game feature.

at best they will nerf it to be undesirable like they’ve done in the past.
