Do the hotfixes not get posted daily anymore?
The last hotfix update was posted on 10-Dec-24, and the one before that was 26-Nov-24.
Yet, I definitely downloaded an update to the game last night.
Is this the new way now? We get updates, but we’ll never know what they contained unless WoWhead “datamines” them? Or we’ll only get Patch notes?
they’ve been pulling this garbage ever since cataclysm. it aint new. “stealth updates.”
Hi, what you downloaded last night was preparing the client for updates. The downloaded files were not visible in the game until the main update was installed. This simplifies the update installation process and reduces maintenance time.

I only know that the thread author asked about yesterday. Yesterday, the preparatory files were installed. What happens before an update, always.
Who cares…seriously?
It would be a waste of everyone’s time if they made notes for changes like “adjusted misspelt word in this quest dialogue”.
Not all changes are worth documenting.

Blizz does OCCASIONALLY have funny notes, tickled when I see one.
I don’t necessarily need to see things like “corrected grammatical error when talking to the npc that offers to take you back to the Dornogal”.
But I WOULD like to see when bugs that cause technical issues are fixed. All of them. No matter how many it is.
