I have deleted hundreds of the Firelands Embers in SOD and about five-dozen emerald chips already. There was no reason to expect they would be of further use and I was not going to have them taking up limited bank space.
There is no way to restore this. Hearing that Emerald Chips and Firelands Embers are going to be useful later really sucks. This is way to late to tell us something like this.

Any chance recraft equipment bug was fixed? Nothing happens as a LW right now after the bar loads. No mats used or anything.
