I have the Green. I refuse to screw around with trying to find TLPD.

I think that the suffering will continue to see how it was since 3.3.5a, nothing will change except some raid closed by phase, which I will not see how it was before ICC before 3.3.0.

Not true you short little jiblet. I have the Green Proto Drake and I still play. And the Blue one to. So pffft

Just get those eggs. Might be in the next egg that hatches. Although it’s possible you’re mishandling those drake eggs…since they’re so big and you’re so…um short.

Now as to the rarity, I couldn’t say. I got it on my first try… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: After 7 days of waiting that is.

Is it still a 7 day wait time or did they shorten it?

Green proto drake is usually not expensive on the bmah though, so idk if it’s that rare?

According to Data for Azeroth, roughly 6% of accounts have a Time-Lost Proto-Drake, but about 18% have a Green Proto-Drake.

Green Proto is about three times more common.

Didn’t they used to hand out green proto’s in the daily dungeon cache? Swear I got at least one from those. I’m amazed only 16% have the violet drake, considering it’s just an achievement.

it’s been three days since the Cata prepatch :rofl: And this patch also increased the mount’s drop rate.

The Violet drake was blocked for many people due to the pvp achievements necessary. Hence why blizz recently patched it to no longer require it.

My anecdotes may not represent the average of the wider community, but I have had the green protodrake drop multiple times for me, while I’ve only ever seen the blue drake that shares TLPD’s timer once, never the TLPD itself.

But I’m a bit stubborn. I don’t want a TLPD through organized CRZ-hopping or waiting for an add-on to fire an alarm when it spawns halfway across the zone, I do want it, but I want it “honestly”, stumbling across it just flying through the zone.

You are time-gated from getting the Green one. A week at a time, or maybe it’s a few days apart now between each try with the rotten egg?

Only reason why I never got it was because I got tired of those dailies, lol.

Meanwhile just got TLPD from my usual Ulduar mog clears and searching the peaks from time to time.

If you really want both, you’ll eventually get 'em both.

I remember this.
It was before shared mounts in collections, my druid and my hunter got it.
The funny thing is, it took forever on my druid and it was quick on my hunter.

Do you ever wonder if there is a secret “lucky stat” that is rolled at character creation and that is why some alts are amazingly lucky and others are sad and frustrated?
