Hot take: Sargeras did nothing wrong and we're the bad guys

Have a quick (totally not biased) wow lore crash course if you’re not caught up.

The void lords are a bunch of angry shadow entity people dwelling just outside what we know as reality. And they are some really awful people.

Like really awful. They probably kick puppies for breakfast type of awful. And they want to make our reality into their own torment playground.

So their solution was to hurl a bunch of mad lad tentacle monsters through space and hope some of them face plant into a planet containing a titan soul so it can be corrupted and wreak havoc on our universe.

Sargeras knew the only way to keep power from the voidlords is to eradicate all titan souls and if necessary all life in the universe lest we all want to end up in a fate worse than hell as void lord playthings.

But we jailed Sargeras, the one person trying to protect the universe from horrible void lord torment.

And just like global warming we’re just sweeping the looming problem under the rug for our descendants to deal with. Give it a few million years and there will be a small army of corrupted titans knocking on our door.

What I’m getting at is we obviously need to immediately release Sargeras and join the legion. Not only will you get to save the universe but you’ll get to travel a lot too. And I hear the legion has great benefits.

You get to even take over entire worlds, what fun!

only problem is that sargeras’s ultimate plan is to allow the universe to restart and the void lords are just gonna do the same thing again anyways.

can’t beat the void lords, but you can beat their minions.

Sargeras still should have destroyed the planet. Azeroth is a dump full of terrible and stupid people.

But the titans will become their minions if sargyboi can’t kill them all

When that happens we’re really done for

Descendants, not ancestors.

And the only thing Sargeras did wrong is NOT plant his sword directly into Stormwind City.

I grow weary of “X did nothing wrong” cause he wanted to do something grand and good.

BS pure BS.

If you have such an over-arching goal then tell those whom you come to. Give them the chance to join with you and do the great work. But no, power mad psycho/socio paths will find a way to justify what they are doing.

And weak pathetic mongrels will find reason to justify their actions.

In my defense I turned off my brain entirely when I was writing that post

Literally every demon we encountered that could speak tried to recruit us.

I think you’re taking my bad post a little too seriously

Perhaps, bordering on a migraine. Also perhaps the long drawn out drama in guild chat earlier primed me more than a bit.

Still…

Hrm…

I tend to think “you will serve or be destroyed” is very different from “all will end, nothingness will engulf us all, if you do not join us in our battles”.

But perhaps that’s me.
