Maybe it’s just me, but when I play I game, I generally dislike it when the game forces me to wait for an arbitrary amount of time because I was playing it. I already have to corpse run, I really don’t need a timer on top of it because I happen to be struggling with a specific quest (Which I can’t ever get help on), or because I happen to be camped by a rogue’s no fun allowed combo.
There are resurrection timers in WoW?
No 2min rez timer would definitely have made dying 100 times in halaa for war talbuk back in Cataclysm a lot faster than waiting 2min*100 for it
I think rez timers in open world are a bit outdated and could be removed but def still required in instanced content
In BG’s and if you die too many times in a certain amount of time.
If you die enough times within a certain time frame, yes; there are res timers.
Most people won’t see them usually unless they are involved in PvP.
Also in Classic leveling, which, while it is part of the Classic experience, is honestly a part I’d rather not have.
The BG spirit healer rezzes everyone at once, though, doesn’t it? I always thought of it as a repeating mass res spell with a 30 second cast or whatever.
This is the game’s way of tell you to “git gud”. Sit in the corner and think about what you’ve done!
Yeah I don’t like having to wait 15 minutes either.
Thank the good lord for netflix
I think you are right, but I don’t PvP unless I’m going after a mog lol
Is every opinion a “hot take” now?
on the forums? yes.
people will genuinely berate you for wanting more pink transmog sets in the game.
Hot Take, yes
Things like death timers in the overland are what I call ‘friction points’. Too many of those can get people thinking about spending their time/money elsewhere.
In dungeons, raids, and pvp, I think timers ought to be there. But if they were removed I wouldn’t mind too much. If you die that much, I don’t think you’re going to clear the content regardless of the timer.
Its a punishment for dying repeatedly. Its also supposed to prevent zerging.
If the enemy doesn’t take your insignia you can body rez which is usually a tactic to keep spinning a base, and sometimes is less long than waiting the 30 seconds and having to run back
Theres a spirit healer and the option to ressurect at your body if the enemy doesn’t take the insignia, but has an increasing rez time
you don’t get to cherrypick what you want about classic.
Fun fact: carebears have the option to turn warmode off.
Have you tried not dying?
It’s the game’s way of trying to train you to leech off the other players at the world boss and watch a youtube video rather than trying to run back and help them finish killing it.
