As per the above title, IMHO, MoP Remix would be more meaningful if there were new race or race/class combos released in lieu of it.
A lot of people had already gotten the class/race combo they wanted to high level and at the same time a lot of people would love new playable races or new race/combos that are not still available to us.
I feel that it is such a waste to not release at least release a new race/class combo for Remix because having an event that encourages us to level in an older content would make levelling the new race/class combo or new race much more fun.
But alas I’m just happy to roll as a Zandalari in Remix because I like the idea how twisted that is lore wise.
I don’t even want Jinyu or Hozen personally but I actually agree with OP that would have been a huge selling point if there was a new allied race.
Currently I already have every allied race leveled and every class leveled. This event makes no sense in that its a leveling event with nothing new to level. Questionable AF.
Unneeded because a lot of the races and class combos didn’t even exist back in original Mist of Pandaria, plus even without that there’s a lot of reason to do it just to do it, the lack of say Paladins for all races isn’t really that big of a deal.
It doesn’t need to be, it also again doesn’t need things outside of what it has anyway like say races like Void Elves or Kul Tiran and classes like Evoker or Demon Hunter that weren’t there originally you will live so either play it or don’t.
I realize that it’s probably twelve days too late (btw, nice necro Livia) to suggest a post edit OP, but I think you mean ‘along with it’ instead of ‘in lieu of it’. ‘Lieu’ means ‘instead of’.
As to your point; given the fact that the soon to be released expansion is likely going to give us a new playable race (or two?), I think the better of the two options you mentioned would be the increase of playable race and class combinations. That would indeed have been cool.
To be honest? I don’t personally see a problem with necroing most threads.
We are told conflicting guidelines in that regard; on the one hand, we’re told it’s wrong to necro, and on the other, that it’s wrong to start a new post on a subject for which there’s already a thread. I don’t really think you did anything wrong, personally.
