Hot Take: Getting Rid Of GDKPs Was A Mistake (Part 1)

I’m talking about an Era server dog.

its part of the game and if it makes you whine this much yeah you should move on

Your argument is you should reward the swipers?

This many responses. It worked well.

It failed miserably and took away aspects of the game most people enjoyed.

They should provide a 2 server solution before tbc.

they wont and you know it

Not everyone enjoys swindling players out of gold and running a raid like a job

Only poor people :joy:

Time to find a job

If they’d rather cheat than play the game, yeah, they should leave.
Blizzard should give them a firm kick out the door if they can’t make the decision for themselves.

We’ve been back and forth several times. I want swipers and bots banned.

Your gold farming is made worthless because of the bots. If blizz invested a small amount of money into better bot detection and in game GM’s that actually play the game, you wouldn’t be able to buy the same amount of gold it takes 10 hours to farm in game for $10 and have a 1% chance of a 2 week ban.

I’ve argued they should be banned to you several times. They aren’t though.

What’s so hard about this?

Blizz doesn’t stop bots or perma ban RMT. It’s made gold worthless. The fact that players have to farm for 10 hours to get the same amount of gold the bots will sell for $10 is the main reason so many swipe.

Bots sell gold so cheap because blizz has no financial incentive to stop them.

Blizz basically encourages players to buy gold with their failure to police bots and failure to actually punish gold buyers.

You only backpedal and start posting that when people call you out for your pro-gold buying stance.

Maybe open with “They don’t ban bots/gold buyers” instead of “Heh, why would anyone farm when you can just buy gold heh?”

Every time you post that argument you sound like you’re pro gold buying.

It’s the same thing, you understand that right?

I’ve repeated this exact point to you several times and I don’t think you understand it still.

The reason so many buy gold is because blizz doesn’t ban bots and gold buyers.

You always get hung up on when I explain why they’re buying gold, which has to be addressed to solve the issue.

RMT gold cannot be so cheap that people feel stupid farming their own. Blizz’s failure to detect and ban bots is the reason RMT gold is so cheap.
The punishment for RMT shouldn’t be a 1% chance that you get a 2 week ban. Again, blizz’s failure to actually perma ban gold buyers.

I don’t support gold buying, but I understand why so many do it.

Having a functioning brain and explaining how things got to where they are now is the same as telling everyone they should swipe obviously. C’mon, if the anti’s were intelligent we wouldn’t be spoonfeeding them the same answers we gave them a year ago.

I know why people buy gold cause they are lazy. they want gdkp cause they are lazy and greedy simple as that. they are probably the same people that play fotm classes and look for any bugs to exploit in game because they dont actually want to play the game. its a pattern and its hard to ignore

Says the guy that believes increasing the value of gold tenfold would reduce bots / rmt :joy:

Oh 100% I’m all for that

But you can’t be against bots / rmt and for gdkps until you find a solution to stop the undetectable gold laundering that goes on in them.

That’s why blizzard gave us the ignore and report features.

Once they are gone and can’t troll threads anymore we can focus on getting gdkp’s back.

It’s not the same thing.
You just post “Why wud u farm wen u cud bye gold 4 $10 lol”

What you’re not understanding is that I don’t care the reason why people are cheating.
I want them out of my game.

There is zero excuse.
People have a choice.
The answer to “Am I going to cheat?” should always be “No.”
Not “Well, these guys are doing it so I might as well too.”

You don’t explain why you pop in and say “LOL Y FARM WEN GOLD $10” with zero context to anyone new to arguing with you.

It’s the playerbase that’s allowing it to be so rampant as well.
I’ve gotten yelled at by Officers in guild’s I’ve been in because i was making people upset for stating “Buying gold is cheating.”

They do it because they don’t care about the game’s rules.
The apparent lack of enforcement(People still do get banned, but not as often as they should) shouldn’t be the difference between “Will I cheat, or won’t I cheat?”

If they’re willing to cheat now they’d be willing to cheat if blizz actually enforced the rules, except then they’d be posting on the forums whining about being unfairly banned.

yeah if you cant argue your point ignore the opposition

I like how they’re upset enough to call people names while inferring that their opposition is doing something reportable.
