How can anyone possibly consider themselves allies with Sylvanas? She’s the most annoying character in Warcraft 3.

She spends 3 or 4 missions in the Undead campaign constantly annoying you, while repeatedly and ineffectively assaulting your base. Over and Over and Over.

When you finally reach the end of that story arc and kill her, they make it the most satisfying feeling ever. As Arthas puts it: “After all you’ve put me through, the last thing I’ll give you is the peace of Death”

I’m starting to think, that anyone who likes Sylvanas has never played the Undead Campaign of Reign of Chaos because they go a long way to make Sylvanas as annoying as possible.

Significantly better. Begins developing the deeper parts of her character arc. A character arc that blizzard would later absolutely ruin.

Of course, that doesn’t change the fact that she is immensely annoying. Blizz goes out of their way to make killing her so very satisfying.

That has been the big question since 2004, my dude. And its the question everyone really should have been asking themselves after the Wrathgate when it turned out Sylvanas had been trying to weaponize the Plague to use against everyone.

I’ve always been a Sylvanas fan boy since I started wow. Reason being as follows.

-she has a really deep entertaining back story.

-She was screwed over by Arthas and I generally feel bad for her.

-She’s the only entertaining character in the current story. She’s also pretty unpredictable which can’t be said for the rest of the actors.

-FINALLY SHES PRETTY FUN TO PLAY ON HOTS

Yes, I’m well aware that the would-be Lich King, with the cursed runeblade, destroying the peaceful lives of thousands of innocents is the bad guy.
That much is not lost on me.

But I’m also aware that Arthas is the protagonist. We as the players are trying to further Arthas’ goals, and Sylvanas is the Antagonist, standing in the way of the progression of the story.

Much like Frankenstein. The monster is the bad guy, for sure. But you sympathies with their actions because they are a Humanized character who’s motives you experience firsthand. Classic Gothic Fiction.

Sylvanas is made to be incredibly annoying. A constant roadblock. And killing her is as satisfying as can be. The only thing more satisfying would be to kill her in Retail WoW

Yes, and those Guerilla warfare Tactics are annoying.
I beg of you to go play the Undead campaign and somehow not be annoyed by Sylvanas constant droning, and non stop Zerg Rushes.

So how do you justify her clearly and obviously explaining to Arthas how to besiege Quel’Thalas?.
Like how the Second Elf Gate has a key in 3 pieces, that he’ll Never find. :joy:

you’re supposed to be annoyed, that’s the point, means devs did a great job achieving that feel

That’s how all Dark Lords in stories must feel - leading unstoppable army of darkness but dumb mortals still trying to stop you

Its the bustier.

She has generally been that logical issue for horde for a while. Bustier is the only answer that works.

Humans hate me and my army.

As written…horde goes (well went) yeah, they are like that that aren’t they. But we like you.

As I’d write the horde:

umm, you go into graveyards and raise their dead to join your zombie army. If you went and dug up my dead family…I’d have issues with that too.

So what you’re telling me is that she was supposed to be annoying. She Was annoying. But you like her anyways.

Why should I be happy? She Killed Greymane’s son. She Burned Teldrassil, She Betrayed the Horde. She serves only herself. And she constantly sounds like she needs to blow her nose. (Which is hilarious because her voice in Wc3 was fine.)

“Raw Powah” or “Guerrilla Tactics” she’s still an annoyance.

She’s been under the jailers desk since WotlK you know. She has very interesting methods of “Killing Him” :woozy_face:
