I wanted to add my voice to the Horrific Visions feedback that seems to be flooding the forms (no surprise). I really like them, thanks for the cool content! But, I think the gating to access them is too limited and one simple change would make them a lot more fun.
On my Druid, I failed two of my six attempts. I was d/c out of a Vision once and the second time I was stuck in combat and got to watch my sanity time out. Both of those attempts really sucked and were game play moments I know weren’t intended by Blizzard. I also know that I will catch up next week thanks to the time gating on the cloak, so I’m not overly worried.
What I would like to see though is that the requirement to enter a vision be kept at one vessel per group rather than person. If you go solo, you need your own vessel. But, if you want to play with your friends though only one person in the group needs to use a vessel per attempt.
I think the gating on the cloak and loot that can drop from a vision is more than enough to slow down progression to a reasonable rate. And while yes, it would allow us to farm out our talent tree faster, I don’t see that as a bad thing as it expands what we can do and how long we can spend in the gameplay system.
Since Visions are a key game play system of 8.3, it makes sense to let us play them more, not less. Right now we get about 45 minutes to an hour of time in a Horrific Vision per week. That small amount of time seems too low and not well thought out. It would be nice to see it changed so we can do them more.
