Why doesn’t blizzard just squish all the stats on all the gear down to minimal variance from vanilla all the way till say legion since legion already has the mechanic in place it would just need to be tweaked a little. If you could run vanilla raids for gear that works in WotLK dungeons maybe not the raids but at least the dungeons people of a much higher spread of progression could be working together on things like justice badge farming etc allowing for a helluva lot larger more populated/successful servers I should think. You obviously want some progression to stop the new 60’s from doing the hardest raids instantly but it doesn’t need to be steep for most crap tier guilds. Yeah it would take a little work but not more work than constantly overseeing fifty different versions of wow half of them utterly dead. I suspect people would love it as well. Yes the die hards would progress through it fast but you can add mythics at the end for them to solve for that. Most people even in classic run still were not done with everything they wanted to try doing before we moved on, that is why the population is spread all over the place.
I know most people on the forum are probably those die hard fans/hard workers so I’m probably talking to the wrong crowd, and I’m not saying I know everything or “this WILL work do it now!” I’m just saying there is a lot of content here. It seems a shame to never combine it into one working table of loot that is applicable to itself not throw away loot the way previous squishes have been.
Infinite dungeons/Endlessly progressing mythics are a possibility as well it would seem.
Also really good guilds will never stay happy long no matter what you do, they will conquer it and move on regardless of your effort. so why bother planning every instance for them? We have retail servers and that is constantly new for those of us who want something new.
Thoughts?
