I propose Horde gets a real Warchief. Many of the great Horde Warchiefs have been massacred for silly plot. Been killed for a lame agenda. What we need is a character who is similar to Vol’Jin or Cairne Bloodhoof. His name is Gamon! Gamon needs to be the new leader!

I nominate myself. I will enact a five point plan that will culminate in the restoration of all forsaken to life, collar all vulpera, place protections on tauren traditional lands, tariffs on blood elves, free dental for trolls and make orcs green again.

They’ll probably make Thrall’s son Warchief someday. As long as it isn’t Lor’themar. Personally, Cata-era Baine would have made a good Warchief when he still had some sandpaper. But now it’d probably be a near unanimous hatred for him as leader.

People’s hatred of Baine is the sole reason he’s still alive. Had players actually liked him, Baine would have been made into hamburgers long ago.

Yeah, he’s a divisive character that Blizzard has written poorly.
Eitrigg would have also made a good Warchief. He’s a character that has existed in the game and lore since the beginning of WoW. He is old and wise.

Supposedly we don’t get a Warchief, because those are only for “war” time.
Apparently, war is defined in Azeroth only as the Horde fighting the Alliance.
So until then, these “conflicts” are handled by the all-too-spineless Council…
Baine’s still alive because every time the Horde lines up to attack the Alliance unprovoked and subsequently die in large numbers as the Alliance defends itself, he’s in the back suggesting maybe they don’t go attack someone they’ve literally never won against.
He’s disliked by Horde players for the same reason.

I’d be thrilled to have Eitrigg as a leader. He’s in tons of quests as the go-to guy for aid and reasoning.

A very under utilized character. To get that Saurfang treatment, his own model, a good voice actor. Its a shame he’s not had a spotlight as one of the oldest members of the Horde.
Alternatively, Rexxar would also make a wise Warchief.

Exactly. You don’t get any more warchiefs until you stop being a problem. Think Germany after WW2. Think what should have been Russia circa 1991.
I would be legitimately surprised if he even accepted were it offered. he refuses to take the title of a monarch for his OWN people, let alone the entire Horde. he desperately does NOT want to be a leader at all and only does so because the sin’dorei need him to lead. it’s why you also find Rommath and Halduron with him in the throne room as his advisors.

That is a really good point actually. I like Lor’themar, I just don’t think he’s what the majority Horde players want as a Warchief. I could be wrong though, its anecdotal.
