I’m not going to talk about how Horde is clearly favored over Alliance in pretty much every aspect of the game, but Alliance not having a WCB equivalent is just stupid.
Please give alliance something that matches Horde WCB

There was a long thread on this already. The general thought is at the time of development, buffs were just fun things you got. It was put there for the horde because it was a fun thing to give out. There was even a video linked which said something like this about buffs from Blizzard themselves.

Its just so late in the game to be making massive changes. Also its just part of the fun flavor of classic. Back when the sides werent just mirrored versions of one another
Idk, to me WBs were never required to clear content so i just shrug my shoulders and salute the boys in red for having a neat buff we dont. Not everything always has to be 100% equal as long as its within reason

Alliance get Winterspring Mount. And Furbolg illusion rod.
Both better than some silly 1hr buff.

Eh. I’m gonna be there anyways farming Firewater, Jujus, Thorium, and Timmerman rep. What’s one more thing to add to the list.
Yeah it nets a lot of nice raid mats, but its a really rough grind. I wouldnt wish it upon anyone else
Can we also get a songflower BEHIND guards 2 steps from our FP as well? Really silly yall get one so well protected.

what a bizarre request at this stage of the game. why on earth would they change it now?
the only reason an alliance raid “needs” WCB is for speed running. alliance speedrunners have a reserve of rend heads to drop. if they don’t, they know how the buff works.
The problem is, the game is very competitive… and some alliance still get it using mind control on their horde priests… which forces anyone who wants to compete in damage to get it too.
I have both horde and alliance toons and horde are 100% favored, and it’s not even personal bias (this is my main, I don’t play my ally toons much)
You don’t need rends to parse well.
The odds are it’s gone before your raid night is over and you’re generally missing 5-15 minutes of it anyways.

I heard that (and I have no personal knowledge about this, I am just repeating something I thought was interesting) that when they were developing vanilla, they were terrified that nobody would want to play horde and that everyone would pile alliance. In order to combat this, supposedly they built some minor advantages (nothing earth shattering) to playing horde to incentivize more people to play horde.

the difference between a 99 and a 100 would be WCB.
But to get to that point it takes more than just 1 buff.
and are we going to say that 99 wasnt competitive?
depends purely on who you are and what you want.
I agree with you though, the difference between a 99 and a 100 is pretty meaningless.
I’m sure the Alliance will have one just as soon as they get around to appointing a Warchief.
Also, saying “I’m not going to talk about this bald, unsupported assertion” is talking about it, it’s just doing so with a power play.
