A lot of people will jump to say no way at this idea but I think Horde queues are seriously out of control and has made Queuing seriously boring. #nochanges? Blizz broke that rule already so lets move on from that lol. RBG’s in retail allowed factions to fight each other to save on queue times and I never heard anyone complain about that at all. I think having that system in Classic BG’s would be a great way to get faster queues as long as you’re not a lore sperg

It’s the Horde’s fault the queues are as bad as they are. Let them sit in queue, or reroll Alliance. Once TBC hits it’s only going to get worse too.

making horde-only BGs would remove the “PVP” realm status by ending one faction.
this would be one feature removing another. As an alliance player i oppose.

Have you tried doing PvP on the horde?
People like playing Horde. I personally like their races more. The only reason I have this warrior is because of IRL friends who wanted paladins. If not for that I would be horde simply because I think they look better

What does that matter? They’re the majority faction. How is it fair to punch down on the Alliance?
Do you think every single person playing Horde plays it specifically because they prefer it? Do you think the better racials don’t have any influence on that? It’s also going to get worse in TBC. One of the only advantages to being Alliance is the faster queue time - how is it fair to remove that advantage just because people enjoying all the benefits have to wait longer?

Far far worse. Once TBC hits there’s literally no reason or advantage to play alliance. Maybe for people who just absolutely love alliance I suppose but once horde get Paladins there will be so many blood elf pallys.

same way allowing 10man guilds to have the same loot as 25man guilds caused a 92% mortality rate and zero natality rate for 25man guilds in cataclysm.

10 and 25 man were hard to balance. Some were harder, or easier, on one difficulty. Class stack bosses? Easy on 25. Tight areas? Easy on 10.
I was never saying horde vs horde only. I was saying let them fight each other and still fight the alliance. The queues don’y change for alliance and they get better for the horde. Only reason to not want that as alliance is because you hate horde.
There is no real advantage for the alliance in this.
By that logic you’re saying waiting in a long queue means you put in more effort than the alliance??

obviously. this topic is serving as proof.
we know merc mode fixes it. but those of us who want to play classic don’t need the retail solution to it.
you’ve given no consideration to RP-PVP realms for example, you only thought about your specific situation.
