One look at these forums with some Alliance palyers constantly whinging about nothing probably drives them off. People just like to play Horde more , it has nothing to do with racials or specs or abilities. Because even that information isnt provided when people come to the game
Really Some Alliance players make a bad name for their entire faction and this whole selfish desire to fight against merc mode is part of it.

then why have people play ally then if you could go merc mode? see the issue? You are alienating a WHOLE FACTION because a faction is popular because it appeals to most pvp with some great pve elements, while ally has gimmicks. If anything, ally racials need to be reworked to be somewhat on par to justify wanting to make this game be “warring factions”

Merc mode does nothing to a single alliance player and there is absolutely no expedience to support the idea it has. People just like horde side better, if only because they dont have to constantly see a long unadulterated binge fest of whining about nothing…Its never been about racials its always been about the Horde community

Now I know you are full of it, majority of horde players chose horde for pvp reason. Do I think that people picked Horde for other reasons? Yes, but that number is smaller, if not equal to those that play alliance. Bro, a simple search in the classic section, when classic was announced, countless topics on asking Which faction is better for pvp or along those lines. I’m not going to prove something to someone who is purposely being “blind” to an issue that was caused by the player base in itself. Heck, even when TBC first came out, the same thing happened.
Good joke! Faction imbalance is not a strong enough deterrent that Blizz will throw away free money to fix it, especially when such a lucrative option exists.
$25+ per transfer if it ever goes live, don’t waste your precious time imagining a world where Blizz gives free faction transfers.

Opinions, and poor ones at that. Racials are not better on one side, everything is situational.
Oh I know, I wasn’t agreeing with it, I stated I didn’t… human trinket and rep, gnome freedom, dwarf stoneskin, night elf invis vs orc bloodthirst, troll haste buff (wtf is the name) undead racial is only good for pvp and tauren with the aoe short range cast stun… I don’t see one side being better than the other. It’s literally 99% interest, but you can’t tell alliance players that, no matter how true it is.
