This is too much work for Blizzard. They need something effortless. They could unlock the resilience gear from reputations. Then you basically don’t need most of the BG set anymore.

Question since im new and never used a faction swap in retail for the time I was there can horde just swap to alliance get the pvp gear then swap back?

The reality is alot of people don’t care what they play they just want faster queue time.
Not everyone is such a moron like you that they either hate alliance or hate horde and find the other faction unplayable, I’ve played both during my time in wow and I have no problem playing either.
Only “for the horde” morons like you think like that, the majority of the player base couldn’t care less and just want faster queue times, I know plenty of horde players who have manually re rolled and started relevelling because they are sick of horde queue times so they are moving to alliance already.
Horde morons are just that, morons, no we shouldn’t be trying to figure out how we can further pamper to the already pampered easy mode over populated faction, you morons need to figure out your own solution to the problem and stop rolling an an already overpopulated faction, all of this is YOUR FAULT.
This isn’t alliances fault, this isn’t blizzards fault, THIS IS YOUR FAULT
WE should not be punished because the horde playerbase are full of morons that dont understand and don’t care about faction balance at all.

Not really classic services have quite long cooldowns
Example server transfer retail once every 3 days, server transfer classic once per 90 days.
This would mean faction transfers would have minimum 90 day cooldowns
The big problem here is it allows horde to choose if they want to be horde or alliance and alliance must stay alliance. That is an unfair trade to the other half of the game
Any transfer offered to all of horde should be offered to alliance as well

Unlike merc mode, I’m fine with Horde -> Alliance transfers. The only thing is that to be fair to Alliance, they would need to also open up race changes if they did this. Not fair for Horde to be able to swap into whatever race they want on Alliance while Alliance themselves are stuck as what they were in vanilla unless they rerolled.

Second. While this would be nice it wouldn’t work. The entire reason the issue exists is that all the Horde players choose to go Horde. They aren’t going to suddenly choose to go Alliance. So even if Horde to Alliance transfers for free were to open up. Only a minority of players would make that jump, and never on the realms that are unbalanced.
So it would result in nothing more than Blizzard being officially able to say “We tried and players didn’t want to move. You solve it now.”
At this point just do away with the factions. It doesn’t make sense anymore as it is.
Wrong. Transfers fix nothing and Alliance gets nothing out of the deal except longer queues.
The only solution is re-roll. That way only the most dedicated will do it.
Retail tourists are going to quit anyway so might as well quit now.
There was a 6 month cooldown on faction transferring originally
U get more people to raid and run dungeons with. And your odds of winning a bg increase. Your so small minded on this topic is unbelievable. You have nothing to lose only something to gain.

Fair criticisms and I agree you have to nail down all the loopholes or this turns into retail: people faction transferring for a ~1% advantage in specific content.
Why not just not do anything and let them deal with repercussions of their choices now? They choose horde… Let them deal with it.
