Horde shaman

Sorry, but horde went straight down the trash shoot when Vulpera showed up. Plenty would argue this happened when Belfs first appeared, or when Vol’jin got the most pathetic death ever, or even when Sylvanas became Warchief. Those were all grave diggers, Vulpera put horde in that grave though. Just make a dwarf shaman, your life will be better.

I’ll admit, if you told me about Vulpera before BFA and said they were gonna be playable, I would have had not a lot of good things to say. I also didn’t know that they were a reference to a character from the War of the Ancients novel. Their introduction, however, didn’t leave me wanting in terms of a race that would fit into the Horde. They fit the aesthetic completely outside of the fact that their voices are too “squeaky.” (but so are goblins) Plus, Vulpera have good animations, transmog on them isn’t terrible, and their totems are pristine. I do however, resent the fact that the dance emote for female Vulpera is simply to be a backup dancer to the emote for the male Vulpera. They deserve to have their own dance.

The reason we don’t have Ogres is the same reason we will never have Ogres. They are simply too big.

I had a Tauren shaman in Vanilla and changed to orc and then Mag’har over the years.
Taurens have good melee animations, orcs have better casting animation and look better as a caster.
Tauren ethereal spirit walker vs Orcish Farseer archetypes. It’s up to you but the orc is more iconic.
Taurens need to dual wield in WoW so you can’t even smash people with a big totem either.
The totems you summon are also something you should consider aesthetically, Tauren totems are extremely outdated.

So I am so curious about the dps as an Enhancement shaman with the undead passive Touch of the grave. I would be interested as to how much it will proc and heal with an Enhancement Shaman. If that value increases as you level or not. I do not have an undead so I have no idea.

My Horde shaman is a green orc.

In-game Ogres are much taller than even Tauren and it would be a problem with players if they introduced playable Ogres that were much smaller than all the other ones we see out in the world. Not to mention mount sizes would be ridiculously more annoying to be around than even the massive Tauren mounts now.

How would that be a problem? Mobs in the open world are almost always bigger than our characters…

I find arguing the size of in-game models a moot point considering Blizzard admitted that game models fluctuate in size and aren’t very representative of a race’s actual size due to needing to make character modals more or less visible to players.

Tauren are canonically suppose to be around 10’ tall, which would make them as big as any Ogre or Vrykul we’ve encountered, but their in-game model is nowhere near that size in order to make them playable.

If in-game models were scaled properly… Tauren would tower over everyone; BM Hunter pets would be massive, taking your entire screen; and most raid bosses like Garrosh, Jaina, or the Lich King would get lost in the crowd of a raid fight.

The real reason we don’t have playable Ogres is because Blizzard are just lazy and don’t want to put in the work to update the models to work with player gear, as well as make a female model.
