Horde Rooftop PvP

so i couldnt find any information on this particular instance, so im curious if the community could chime in with opinions, or links with blue posts.

The rooftop near the alliance FP in darkshire is easily accessible. You can literally jump on it with the gap being very small. You are safe from the darkshire guards because they do not have ranged abilities and able to kill lowbies and npcs. The only defense allies have is to call in reinforcements, and fight on the roof. I do not believe this is a ban worthy offense, and cannot find any information in regards to it.

what do you guys think?

It’s always been that since PVP was around in wow. When I was a level 29hunt. back in vanilla that was my first Wpvp ever though. Great times I had.

It’s definitely not bannable and it certainly is fun. Yesterday actually I was flying through Boralus for a quest and I decided to sit on the roof and shoot people down. When I finally attracted attention after killing like 5x120’s I just used my thunderstorm to knock them off the roof and used my gliders to glide into the nearby harbor and water walk away until I was out of combat and flew away. I did this multiple times.

Just realized this is for Wow Classic, just ignore my comments.

Well you are right about it not being a ban offense. I wouldn’t be for it either. It is very fun to find those niche spots to avoid guards. Like in Everspring in the corner of the house where you get the runecloth patteren. Another good spot there.

It’s bannable in Classic wow. Considered zone disruption.

The issue is if you are evading the town guards. If the guards can get up there and you have to fight them then it’s all good. If they can’t then Blizzard has banned people for circumventing game mechanics.

It might take them a bit but I have seen them punish people for that very spot.

I’ve never heard anyone getting banned in that spot. But this is blizzard we’re talking about. In about 2-3 years they may look into it, lol.

Guards cannot get to the spot, but other players can. i believe this is trivial.

Aren’t the guards like level 30? You can stand next to them for the same effect and they still wouldn’t aggro you

It’s not though. Your own link clearly specifies “neutral” cities, which Darkshire is not. It’s an Alliance town, with Alliance guards.

The issue with guard evasion in neutral cities, is that you place the victim at a double disadvantage, because if they retaliate, they get guards on them. This isn’t the case in Darkshire, or any other faction specific town.

PVP realm. If think this is bad, in many areas, a roof isn’t even needed. You can just stand outside of aggro range, and shoot people at the NPC. Tanaris is a good example. The guards will literally just stand there next to you and watch as you get gunned down. If you shoot back of course, they will murder you.

Darkshire is contested, in Duskwood, you’re thinking Auberdine, in Darkshore.

Slow your road batman
