So I’m doing Argent Tournament and I keep getting “Reputation with Horde increased by…” but nothing is actually increasing with Org, Thunder Bluff, etc. which im assuming it goes towards. Is there a reason why its not?
I think those rep gains are actually going to “Horde Expedition”? If memory serves, once you’re exalted with that it starts disseminating the spillover rep into the other Horde-related WotLK factions.
IIRC, the generic “Horde” and “Alliance” reps boost all of the base faction reputations, but only up to 5,999/6,000 Friendly. It’s normally supposed to be hidden, used to grant “spillover” rep for quests you do for either race. (ie, doing a quest that gives 300 Orgrimmar rep would give silently boost Undercity, Thunder Bluff, etc. by something like 75 rep if you’re not yet Honored with them)
I think it only displays rep gains with Horde and Alliance if the quest is flagged as giving faction-wide reputation, but doesn’t have a race-specific rep reward. I think the only times you can see it now are during some holidays and the Argent Tournament.
