Give a good reason why this is bad other than “it ruins my immersion”
There can be no balance with both factions having different classes.

There can be no balance with both factions having different classes.
Let’s make every character a point particle with the exact same abilities, remove classes, and all gear give equal stats.
There can be no balance with different classes, specs, and gear.
wont happen, stop making these threads
Isn’t this essentially what we have now?, class defining abilities are now runes due to the fact they simply didn’t want to open the classes to either faction?.
Windfury, Kings, Tremor totem and Horn are essentially runes for either faction now. Which sort of takes away the unique abilities from Paladins and Shamans.
Personally I would of rather had the classes on either faction, and keep class design and their uniqueness to the actual class then literally what they have done currently, those Rune slots could of been given actual more unique Runes to the classes.
Only if Horde gets undead paladins.
Gimme the saltiest tears of retail babyrage over that.
because paladins would not ally themselves with a faction consisting of their swarn enemies, and shamans are still a part of a culture and heritage that didnt progress to other factions of other races yet
Horde can have undead paladins if alliance can have gnome paladins (we don’t need shamans). And this way some horde players can stop crying about alliance favorism
I believe the Dev(s) said they weren’t trying to “rewrite history” while doing this. Adding those classes would be doing exactly that, imo.
preach it
But I love me some Wildhammer shaman.
Y’all can have gnome paladins and dwarf sham but give undead paladins plz blizz
Thank and bless
The devs straight up said this is not possible.
Why the hell would you want complete parity between factions? If they did that, keeping adding axes and weapon skill then alliance would be an actually dead faction lol, they would have to fully rebalance racials too and then why even have factions lol?
Undead Paladin and Dwarf Shaman would be sick. The fact it makes Andy upset makes it better.
i see what you’re trying to do, but OP has a point, that will be a bigger deal as we get higher level. I play alliance at the moment in SoD, but i played on the horde side in classic.
it is absolute bs that one side had a character than can make them selves immune to all effects while continuing to attack or free cast heals for as long as divine shield lasts. this will be a much bigger deal in AV and AB where capping an objective means channeling for 10 seconds uninterrupted
Then pvp on alliance if you think paladins will help that much.
Horde pugs tend to beat alliance since it is easier to execute horde side pvp. Whereas in top premades alliance have a slight advantage.
For most games, the bubble vs shaman in AB is kinda moot - both the classes are really strong in AB and shaman has quite a few advantages that paladins lack.
The team with less players ‘afk defending’ is more likely to win than having shamans or paladins. Team full of competent players - the one who consumes the most will win (neither shamans or paladins will change the impact of 5 sappers in the opening BS fight). At the highest levels even, execution and good teamwork will still overcome any faction advantage.
i do
i literally started by saying i play alliance.
I just meant it as a general statement to anyone reading this.
I’ve pvp’d quite a bit on both sides (though in sod I am alliance for now).
Balance is boring. Taking paladin to horde and shamans to alliance was one of the biggest mitakes blizzard ever made!!.
They can give a rune to shaman to have bubble
Buble totem would be pretty cute - “randomly bubbles a nearby target 10yard range for 5 seconds - making them immune to all damage and unable to use physical attacks, totem lasts 30 seconds” - nearby totems and enemies can also be randomly targeted by the totem
hands down i like that ideia as a horde player never played Paladin looks good if they do that even after the fiasco shaman great ideia i would reroll main in heartbeat from shaman to paladin
