going warlock but no idea what race
Undead or Orc on Horde
Gnome only really on Alliance
Other races have no benefits.
think it will be balanced? last time i tried sod and it was 90% ally camping 10 horde. tried another server and was opposite
Yeah, the server and even the layers will enforce faction balance on these FRESH servers.
It will be balanced.
I’d just pick the faction and race you want to enjoy.
Human locks have perception, which is huge against pesky rogues, but the biggest thing might actually be the rep increase. Vanilla is all about the rep grind.
Horde, Undead is the only answer, but I love their lore, and they have some nice racials too, including a shadow res bump for twins if you want to tank.
In the end just pick whichever faction you like looking at, because that’s the only thing that really matters.
Just keep in mind you will have to deal with WoTF as an Alliance Warlock.
im leaning going undead warlock. spouse gonna make a orc hunter
Go allanice.
Stoneskin can help mitigate rogue damage though right?
Im going alliance this time if allowed. Horde is cool but that weapon skill for swords seems too sweet to pass up.
Gnome warlock has like an extra 0.3% crit chance in full naxx gear compared to human
I am stuck with this as well. I have always kind of leaned towards alliance but I have all the horde toons as well. Tough choices lol.
For pvp i think stoneskin can remove or stop blind as well. Then in TBC they change it but I could be wrong.
same… so no nervous about the choice lol
No matter what I think I will still go human and either Rogue Mage or Warrior lol.
got my self second guessing and wanting to go human rogue or warlock
For me I like the racials:
-
Diplomacy(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20599/diplomacy): Reputation gains increased by 10%.
-
Mace Specialization(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20864/mace-specialization): Skill with Maces and Two-Handed Maces increased by 5.
-
Perception(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20600/perception): Dramatically increases stealth detection for 20 sec.
-
Sword Specialization(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20597/sword-specialization): Skill with Swords and Two-Handed Swords increased by 5.
-
The Human Spirit(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20598/the-human-spirit): Spirit increased by 5%.
torn as well
Most of those are pve racials.
Horde have better PvP racials for the most part.
Escape artist and stone skin are alliance racials that are PvP oriented.
I think perception gets good in arena.
Horde have
Will of the forsaken
Berserking, war stomp, hardiness, bloodlust etc
So many better racials for PvP. I will roll alliance though
Ya I agree but I tend to only dabble in the PVP and perception is all I need for that LOL
Ever been ambushed by a NE hunter in meld while you’re trying to cap a node? It hurts. Every class has a decent racial that can turn the tide in PvP, but it’s class dependent. Zerking isn’t really pvp centric, nor is bloodlust, especially with the anti healing negative about it. You can easily say a humans extra skill with a sword causes more damage in vanilla, because the human skill is effectively 61, which is a check against parries, misses, glancing blows, etc.
