Horde or alliance

Starting late, but tired of SL rather play this. Horde or alliance any one got pros and cons of both on this server?

my friends and I are leveling Ally toons on Grob. We’ve had a ton of fun so far. Can’t speak too far ahead, but we’ve seen some crazy stuff in the two-ish days we’ve been here. Horde taking over Goldshire (which was much appreciated after the PvE server that is Faerlina), mysterious gnomes giving away 1 gold to fellow gnomes, RPers, duelers, plenty of friendly people to quest with and strange people to compete with. LFG has boosting ofc, but it looks like a healthier mix of both than other servers. Horde LFG seemed more boosting heavy when I checked it out, which could be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for.

Factions are balanced.

My only point of comparison is Horde Earthfury and Horde Faerlina, both of which had a meh community, you’d have to rely to guilds to have great social experiences. A lot of boosting, not a lot of open world fun, no PvP.

I’m sure some longtime players can give a bit more in-depth info, but this was my brief (and great) experience with Ally so far.

Just moved to this server as alliance from Whitemane and my partner and I have been LOVING it so far. We’ve had so many great experiences with a lot of very kind people, everyone seems very willing to help out when needed, and overall it’s been one of the best levelling/community experiences I’ve had since playing back in OG wrath.

Similar to the previous poster, I can’t speak from longevity since we only just got here, but Ali has been pretty solid so far.

I’ve been trying to decide if I want to be horde or alliance here…I want to be alliance, but I fear of a faction balance swing, but who knows, maybe it wont. Currently alliance but I’ve been considering BE for arcane torrent…I just don’t care for horde cities other than TB. Everything is so brown and dreary.

I’m having lots of fun on alliance.

Both have great communities here. the world is your Oyster on grobb, Blue or Red shouldn’t be hard at all to find a home

Played both factions to max. I was ganked far more leveling as Horde than Alliance.

Well, only one side has Tauren and is not evil.

Well, totally evil.

Very Very odd

Gonna share my experience as someone who wanted to do an RP server but doesn’t care for pvp.

When asking around Alliance about the server I was met with some serious hostility and general name calling. Fair enough, people probably get questions all of the time. Horde side I received a better reception. People seemed nicer but my experience was very limited with what little time I was here.

I want so bad to play on an RP server but sadly the only other servers are basically dead and this one is the only populated one. I’m glad the RPPVP community is thriving but PVP isn’t for me. Wish I could make this place my home, I just don’t find ganking fun.

WG is every couple of hours, cannot wait, thinking of leveling a char here solely for it.
Pvp isnt for you… or disorganized bounty hunters and hit squads squabbling over pebbles and grass is not for you?

Ngl, i think 99%+ of the server forgets the rp part of rp pvp. Grob feels more like what youd get in other games without rp servers, where people need to set up unofficial rp servers, rather than an officially designated rp server. But thats just blizzard’s terrible server management coming to light, they completely neglected server size and faction balance
