Horde Left Out

The more I think about it, the more upsetting it is that Blizz left Horde out of getting a new race to play DH on.

It shouldn’t be a big deal, but when there is still a faction divide, it really is. I want to have a void-y race to play the Devourer spec on. The obvious choice is Nightborne. Why they didn’t open up to them as well is baffling. I haven’t been on the DH forums a lot, so I don’t know if there’s been a lot of outrage over it, it just seems like such a dumb decision.

When prepatch drops the difference is going to be huge. I’m currently blood elf, but plan on both faction/race changing when prepatch drops to void elf. Blizzard is going to make bank.

Nightborne is getting DH. You’re just not supposed to know it yet. The animations have been data mined.

As a Nightborne fan and a DH main, it’s genuinely kind of upsetting. Having worked with the models, a lot of the meshing is 1:1. The big problem is horns (clipping with hair) and animations.

Animations which were resolved in the 11.2 patch. Now Nightborne have DH animations.

It’s frustrating, especially after a lot of unity VE/NB DH posters had together over the years. It feels like getting left in the dust, despite the fact this expansion is supposed to be about ‘unifying the Elven Tribes’. Nightborne get left behind AGAIN.

i think we’re going to get nightborne dh in the first .7 patch of the new expansion

theres nightborne in the story and the ended for quel raid was leaked. so if all the elf tribes are unified, its likely they will teach all the elves how to be dh

also this kinda gives credit to the leak post on mmochampion where belves and velves become neutral races

Traitor. Imagine changing from a classic DH race to one that looks awkward in it.

You do realize that blood elf and void elf are the exact same models, right? lol

If true, that would be awesome. But why not just release them at the same time?

Ya, not sure why. The “rumor” is they’ll be released later on in the storyline/campaign. I hope it’s true since I main horde but just don’t like the look of blood elf demon hunters.

I’ll believe it when i see it.

Most of the reason they have the animations is because they share the night elf rig.

Haranir also have these animations for the same reason. And i would play haranir DH in a heartbeat, i just don’t think it’d happen.

Same. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Bro it’s not a huge deal. Horde has more race options for Shaman and Druid than alliance does and no one says a word. Alliance gets 1 new dh race? Worlds on fire lol

TBH if the alliance should get anything it should be more paladin races to match our shaman races.

The horde technically has more druid races but two of them are exactly the same (Tauren and Highmountain Tauren), and with Haranir the balance will be 4 vs. 5.

I propose the alliance gets four paladins. Kul Tiran, Worgen, Gnome and Night Elf Pallies.

Horde in Turn will get Nightborne DH. With that i believe the class/race combos will be even.

And then everyone will get Haranir DH because the heart wants what it wants.

And that has nothing to do with anything.

If the Alliance gets an elf paladin then the Horde should get an elf druid. This is balance, because now we have only one elf that can be paladin and one elf that can be druid.

Blizzard doesn’t think of making things “even,” if they did, they would have changed things a while ago. If one faction gets 3 new combinations, so should the other.

Haranir are right around the corner.

  1. Haranir is no a Horde race, it’s a neutral race.
  2. Haranir is not an elf.

It’s blood elf or nightborne and that’s it.

They kind of are.

Those that would end up being Night Elves stayed on the surface and built their civilization around the well of eternity. But some splintered off and headed below ground to follow the radiant song and became the Haranir.

Also incredibly easy to make a Haranir that just looks like a higher fidelity night elf.

Regardless. Horde doesn’t need more druid races exclusive to us. We have more than the alliance does.

Horde gets more xaman and druid options, and no one is barking about, velf is just the same thing as a belf, give me a break
