Not sure if it has been addressed, but there are multiple tunnels going from Wetlands to Loch Modan that (as far as I know) Horde characters must traverse to reach Badlands and beyond.
These tunnels have patrolling and static guards that will PVP flag characters passing through. Are there any mechanisms in place to prevent griefing at this location, or is it fair game?

I would hope it’s been taken care of. Would be a bit of an oversight if it hasn’t been. They said they went through and fixed quests that would flag you; I would think the quest to go to the Badlands would be part of that.
That said, aren’t you only (normally) flagged when you attack them? Could still just run away from them as they beat you at least if they didn’t fix it.
Part of me says you’re wrong about them PVP flagging players.
I will test this within the next 20 minutes.
Edit: No I won’t, I forgot I don’t have any characters on PVE realms.
They only flag you if you hit them I’m pretty sure.

So if you’re a shaman, for example, don’t run through with LS up as I’ve been flagged that way.
Otherwise, if they don’t get hit/take damage they whack at you but no flag.
I don’t think they have any CC do they? Unless they hamstring you?
More interested if an Ally char could just sit there and gank virtually every horde player on the server when they make that journey.
I hope they fix that, if it’s possible.
Use the boats and zeppelin’s, can ignore those DWARVEN TUNNELS entirely.
If you do not attack them, just keep going, they will not flag you, it never did.
Errr…
Going to Badlands from south is WORSE, because you’ll have to go through alliance territory, and the way from Redridge Mountains is not even good for that.
The dwarves in those tunnels and even in Loch Modan do not flag you as you go, only if you decide to engage and attack them.
I will say, the first month of official HC will be the most dangerous HC has ever been. I’m sure there are plenty of oversights past level 30, and bugs. Not to mention the inevitable DDoS.
Buckle up lol
If you have a reflective up like lightning shield or shadowguard for example you could be flagged if those twerps hit you.
If you’re planning to run through Dun Algaz don’t do it till 40 and you have your mount. It’s all moot at that point since their little legs can’t catch you.
If they do, I’ve never been hit by it. Horde in classic and horde in HC, done that run many times. They just hit you and then bugger off after a bit.

Cool, good to know they won’t flag if you don’t attack. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of people will attack them though. I suspect a lot of horde chars will end in these tunnels
Yeah I remember getting flagged going through there my first hardcore run. I ran around the corner trying to hide in the bushes lol. Hearthing meant having to do it all over again. But yeah, if you just don’t attack them it should be fine.
I think the dev team covered this as part of not baiting people to get flagged.
I hope they did…
Pretty sure they mentioned somewhere you won’t have to worry about PvP flagging like you normally would
