Is it just me or have Horde been dominating in bgs?
I’ve played both factions for many years, and ally definitely has been the dominant faction overall the past couple expansions. But honestly since xpac dropped I know it’s anecdotal but I swear I’ve been losing 60+% of my games as ally. 70-79 bracket and 80.
It doesn’t matter how good I play, my teams are consistently filled with undergeared newbies and worse healers if there’s any at all.
I won’t say I’m the best, but I definitely noticeably have been losing way more than before the xpac dropped.
Anyone else feel this way?

It’s because all the sync’s and premades play alliance because it’s “meta” and they are all mindless sheep lol

Literally just saw a Horde community sweating up a WG so nah it’s not just Alliance.
If it’s happening on the alliance side, then something else is going on. I’m losing almost 80% of my matches as horde in the 80 bracket. Being under-geared is a problem, that’s why I was glad to be in early access. But tactics matter more and since we got out of early access, horde IQ has gone from 70% down to practically 0%. I can’t explain it either - its almost like people think it’s “easier” to farm stones/honor by just letting one side win. I mean if people want easy, do dungeons, it’s practically the same and less stress. BGs are for people that want competition - if you are not interesting in the competition, don’t f’n queue up.

I can also attest to this, losing losing and more losing so far. Its like 50% or more of the players are bots.

Unless Horde has a really good premade, I usually win as Alliance. And some of those “Horde premades” are actually Alliance mercs.

ive had the exact opposite experience
cant win a game on horde to save my life
literally spam Qd the new BG as horde yesterday i think my overall record was like 2-20
they cant win unless they have 5 man premade

If Horde are winning, it’s usually mercs and premades. Pug Horde is pretty bad.

That’s because newer players tend to play horde. Maybe instead of talking down to them, help them.

I premade reg BGs as Horde to put the noob Alliance rerollers in their place. Things would be substantially easier on me and the friends I queue with if we transferred. But yeah Horde pugs are god awful.
I have tried to give advice, but honestly, this game has been out for so long it is common knowledge how each map should be played. For instance, alliance learned long ago their best chance is zerging LM in Arathi Basin. So every time I’m in AB I say, we either zerg LM or take everything else. You know what happens, no one listens - you can’t fix stupid. So we lose LM, they fly down and take BS, then take farm, all the while we’re stuck at mine. And at that point horde just road fights.
Most horde that were in EA understand these tactics and adjust. But non-EA, which dominate our ranks now, just doesn’t get it or worse doesn’t care. Either way, we need some way of filtering out the fodder, they are ruining everyone’s enjoyment of a game mode.

There’s no advice that will fix a 510 pvp ilvl rdruid queueing up randoms. For whatever reason, Horde is filled with low ilvl compared to Alliance.
Honestly, unless they merge random BG to actually be random assortment of horde and alliance, it’s DOA for me. Going to play entirely Blitz or premade random BGs only - which guess what. Some alliance is going to sit in a long queue and then get spanked. The fix is easy - just throw everyone into same pool for unrated BGs.
Alliance is def dominating on BGs at lvl 80. Between the general bloat of micro cc (which is a general pvp issue imo. there is just too much) and the human/night elf racials being way better than anything horde side (green orcs maybe the only exception in SOME cases), you can feel the imbalance in both population and quality. Most pvpers will play alliance for the racials alone, because why handicap yourself? (dont be like me) Now sure, Horde will win a few , sometimes a few in a row with the right pre-mades and teamwork, which doesn’t happen often, especially outside of server prime times.
Regardless, I doubt blizz will focus any energy in making changes for PVP, Truth is it’s just not what they want to focus on at all.
it’s been a weird week of ebgs, i must say. i swear, half the pugs in these must be bots b/c that’s the only way i can explain some of the things they are doing rn.

i think blizzard is filling these games with fake players . the game is dead AF and theyre using these fakes to make it seem alive.

Me and my group fight with the pugs in IoC all the time. Some are determined to go docks now even though hangar is still the meta.
Worse some are determined to run bombs and seeing 15-20 players in the enemy base “running bombs” when you can’t even do it with that many and glaives are destroying your gate… meanwhile they give you troll responses. Have to let them lose sometimes while advising them to do things differently next time.
Alliance don’t play it perfect either but the pugs seem to have it down better.
I think they love docks simply cause it has the fastest potential win time. Maybe they think vehicles are harder to kill than they are?
I think it’s a byproduct of people who might not normally play epics saturating the queue because there’s nothing else to do but play randoms/epics. Plus, people are always told that epics give more honor.
hangar can work but usually the whole team ends up chuting into the alliance base being worthless running bombs. lol.

It’s hard to say because alliance can merc. Sometimes the better ones do for shorter queues.
