Horde, I'm going to tell you how to ignore docks and win every single IOC you play

100% winrate if even only 75% of the raid listens to you, here’s the strat:

Split the team into 2 groups of ppl, 40% of the raid needs to go to hangar and 60% is the vehicle crew. At start, vehicle crew cap mid and get demos, hangar crew go hangar and cap.

When the hangar caps, NO ONE DROP INTO ENEMY HANGAR AND RUN BOMBS! The only ppl on the airship are on turrets focusing the WEST gate. The rest of the hangar team has one job: DO NOT LET THEM CAP HANGAR or you lose.

Vehicle crew need to do 2 things:

  1. Get demos to our dock-side gate (east I think) and be ready for glaives. If you can take glaives out with demos, great. The team needs to defend the demos until they are gone.

  2. Focus killing enemy vehicles at all costs. When glaives are down, the team can shift back to mid to retake and replenish demos if the gate is clear but the 60% group on vehicles needs to focus vehicles like they insulted your mother.

If you kill their vehicles and focus one gate with airship, you win. If a bunch of ppl jump into enemy keep, you may not have enough to defend hangar and focus glaives.

So the priority looks like this:
DefHangar>Killing Glaives>Taking Mid>Running Bombs in keep>Padding your numbers

Enjoy your honor and conquest

Edit:
Here is the copypaste for the macros to spam this in the bg ~

Macro 1:
/i 100% winning strat if you listen to me: We need 2 groups of ppl, 40% of the raid needs to go to hangar and 60% is the vehicle crew. At start, vehicle crew cap mid and get demos, hangar crew go hangar and cap.

Macro 2:
/i When the hangar caps, NO ONE DROP INTO ENEMY HANGAR AND RUN BOMBS! The only ppl on the airship are on turrets focusing the WEST gate. The rest of the hangar team has one job: DO NOT LET THEM CAP HANGAR or we lose.

Macro 3:

/i 1) Get demos to our dock-side gate and be ready for glaives. If we can take glaives out with demos, great. The team needs to defend the demos until they are gone.

Macro 4:

Macro 5:

How do you propose capping hangar with only 40% going there?

Because alliance normally sends most to docks or the raid splits so you only need 40%

Most intelligent groups are splitting their team between hangar/workshop nowadays.

ye no ones gonna follow all this

On horde, you’re mostly right. When people do this, we win, when they don’t we lose. Simple as that.

when ppl are organized enough in a random to pull of some insanely convoluted strat you win

have you considered correlation vs causation fallacy

It’s better to just ignore EPIC BGs till they are fixed. Why Que for something so hopelessly broken and unfun. They been in a atrocious state for years and hope they either remove them or actually fix them.

i love IOC

  • alliance usually wins docks

  • but then theh orde kill the gblaives instantly because… they r easy to kill and cant be healed.

  • then u have like 25 alliance just sitting there where the glaives WERE doing NOTHING for THE REST OF THE GAME

its INSANE i JUST DONT GET IT

even after the gate goes down none of them choose to defend the king… they just sit there where the glaives WERE… doing NOTHING.

CRAZY!!!

You’re the one doing the prot pvp spec aren’t you? It shines in zerg bgs.

P.S. to the people suiciding the siege engine on the wall, its an anti player weapon, not like the one in wintergrasp. please stop suiciding it and use it where the enemies are. and ffs if you see it get in the turrets because it has flame turrets on the side also. which NO ONE ever uses ever that ive seen. thank you

Godspeed and all that but good luck getting the average PUG to listen to a strategy that is deeper than “GO HERE!”.

I mean it looks like a pretty solid strat but seems to have too many moving parts for a non-premade. Half the time getting your team to agree upon the correct gate to hit is difficult enough even with a solo node strategy.

Yup

Epics are broken trash. Just remove them instead of let them stay in such a terrible state. I really enjoy PvP and there isn’t any in Epics.

This is how it normally goes. Horde sends about half to hangar and half to WS. Wins boths, kills glaives, wins game. I wouldn’t expect the alliance to try to defend/turtle once the gate drops. They have essentially lost by that point and most of them wouldn’t even start moving until the gate dropped even if people are spamming the % addon text. I actually don’t know if there is a way to recall to base in IoC but if there is most people don’t know it - so by the time they ran from the horde base back to their base the boss npc will be on death’s door anyways.

I imagine that slowly the alliance will adapt and more fiercely contest hangar at the very least. Hangar is the most consistent, most difficult to mitigate, path to victory. Keeping glaives alive against a determined horde team is a challenge even with a raid of 30 alliance picking off any horde that come near and quickly dispatching demos.

Edit: And hangar is just amazing to have in general because it’s extremely high up. You can goblin glider all over the map quickly and it takes the enemy a long time to gather up the hill to contest you. ALSO teams usuallly place a demo up at hangar to spam fire down onto the WS flag. It’s a boring but extremely effective job as the enemy can’t cap workshop. So you don’t even need to defend workshop so long as that demo remains alive to fire on the flag, which is insane IMO

Abomb you’re literally trash at the game, go back to solo shuffle in the 1300 bracket.

I’m sorry but in random bgs I feel like half of the team don’t even have chat open. All they want is Zug Zug.

Geez, that strat seems awfully familiar…I wonder where it came from…

Happy to explain:

The average Alliance PVPer is basically only capable of processing one command or simple idea. Example: “Docks, protect glaives”. They don’t understand why they’re doing it, or how it helps them win, but they will Docks. And some will even Protect Glaives about as well as your average bot.

If you break the glaives, however, they fall into a feedback loop. They already went to docks. They already are protecting glaives. However there is no if statement on the glaives not being around, therefore they will either Error 404 or default to calling every Alliance player in BGs except themselves bad at the game, which to a Horde player, looks a lot like Error 404 anyway.

That’s the average PVPer . It’s the same on Horde

But I’m Rank 3 in NA atm so that’s weird. Not that I’m trying at all. Just having fun.

My original points stand true about the broken mess that is Epics and how they have no PvP. Despite your lack of ever making a point for a discussion and just being toxic.

tldr
shorted your words.
